Joe sits down and then pulls Niamh down onto his lap. "Let's take a look then" Joe smirks.

"So as I don't know what colours to do... you'll just have to deal with these" Barbara smiles and pulls the bag up from the floor.

Niamh reaches over and takes the bag. Joe sits smiling at her as she peers into the bag.

"Oh mum" Niamh gasps and pulls out the first.

She looks at a yellow and white hat which has been hand knitted by Barbara.

"I did use different colour combinations, I hope you like them" Barbara smiles.

"Oh Mum they're prefect!" Niamh smiles as she gets a few coloured cardigans out.

"Joe look at these cardigans" she smiles and he looks through them too.

"They're so small" Niamh coos.

"Your too cute, when you do that" Joe smiles.

"Well the week after your wedding..." Barbara admits.

"A week... really" Niamh laughs.

"Just too excited for my granddaughter or grandson" Barbara chuckles and Brian looks across at Niamh and rolls his eyes.

Niamh just smiles and leans over and hugs her mum, "thank you so much" she smiles.

She sits back normally and looks at Joe. "Amazing aren't they" she smiles.

"Your Mum is very talented... you take after her" Joe smiles and leans in to kiss Niamh.

"Oh Joe" she smiles.

Niamh smiles and leans against Joe as he strokes her thigh. "Hey how long have we got until the dinner is ready?" Niamh asks Joe.

"30 minutes why?" He smiles as he moves her off his lap so he can stand up.

"That's just enough time, mum come and I'll show what we've done with the nursery" Niamh smiles and stands.

Barbara gets up and leave Brian to play with Matthew. "So has Matthew moved rooms?" Barbara questions.

"No, just moving the baby into the spare room. Obviously it'll stop in mine and Joe's room for the first few months" Niamh smiles as they head upstairs.

They get to the door and Niamh slowly opens the door. She walks in and Barbara follows in. "Oh wow Niamh" Barbara smiles.

"What do you think" Niamh smiles as she stands watching.

"It's beautiful" Barbara smiles as she looks around.

"Few things to get, we've decided to take the old carpet up and either go for wood or a soft cream carpet" Niamh smiles.

"I think the carpet would go lovely in here" Barbara smiles.

"I'm thinking cream" Niamh smiles.

"If you need any help with the big stuff you can always call us" her mum says.

"What call you from Malaysia" Niamh laughs as she leans against the wall.

"No but you know we're always here if you need us" barbara smiles.

Niamh smiles and walks out out the room "Niamh?" Barbara says.

"Yes mum?" Niamh says as she turns her head.

"What's wrong?" She questions.

"Just got a pain" she mutters not wanting to let on she's in pain.

"Where? You ok?" She asks.

"Here" she points out. Barbara looks at her and gives her a reassuring smile.

"How long has it been hurting" she smiles.

Niamh thinks to herself for a while "an hour... I thought it was just having a good kick but this is worse" she huffs.

"Deep breaths yeah? Do you want to sit down for a bit?" Barbara offers.

"Yeah..." she mutters and Niamh makes her way to her room.

Barbara helps her sit down and get comfy, "how about you have a lay down see if it helps, I'll come and check on you in about twenty minutes?" She asks.

"I guess half hour won't hurt... could you pass me that pillow from the chair please? It's Joe's extra one" she smiles and Barbara gets it for Niamh.

She places vertically along her side and then lies on her side. "I'll be back in a bit" Barbara smiles.

Niamh nods and quietly lies there. Barbara goes down and into the kitchen where she finds Joe.

She goes through to the kitchen and finds Joe. "Where's Niamh?" Joe asks as he's going doing many things at once.
"Damn Woman never around when I need help, but it the opposite when Niamh needs help" Joe huffs as he's getting stressed.

"Joe she's upstairs..." Barbara tries to tell him.

"Would you tell her to hurry up!" Joe says still stressed.

"Joe... listen, stop! Your wife is pregnant, she's not feeling great. Give her some space" Barbara admits.

"We'll how long is she going to be" Joe says.

"Half hour, baby just giving her grief" Barbara smiles reassuringly.

"What's wrong!" Joe panics.

"She's just having a bit of braxton hicks, she's resting but maybe just keep an eye on her" Barbara says.

"Oh right... she had that with Matthew it's Okay. She'll be fine" Joe smiles as he continues to cook.

"She will be fine but it's nice for her to have you there" she tells him.

"I'll go check on her soon" he smiles.

Barbara smiles and watches him for a while "do you have an exercise ball?... I mean Niamh could sit on it if she gets any pains they're meant to help."

"I think we might have one somewhere from Matthew" Joe says.

She nods and decides to help Joe "it would be worth her having it out again, that baby is running out of room fast" Barbara smiles.

"I know it's not long left" Joe smiles.

"Two months and fourteen days left according to Niamh, but she has told you about a thing right?" She questions.

"What thing?" Joe asks.

"Our... well my side of the family have a habit of early births and fast labours" Barbara explains.

Joe looks at Barbara and thinks to himself. "We should have some time... I mean Matthew was late" he says.

"Pot luck that was" Barbara laughs.

"And she was in labour for a good ten hours... or so" he adds.

"Joe, not all labours are the same" Barbara explains.

"Matthew was rather big... for Niamh that is, according to the midwife so this one maybe big" he replies as he finishes the cooking.

"It may be" she smiles.

"Niamh was tiny, 5pounds 3, came out screaming and hasn't stopped since" Barbara jokes.

Joe grabs the plates and smiles "she's going to kill me if i know that" he jokes.

"Don't you go round telling I said that" she laughs.

"Secret is safe with me... anyway would you help with dishing up? This is usually Niamh's job" he chuckles as he grabs the turkey.

"Of course, do you want to go and see to Niamh and let her know it's almost ready" she says.

"Yes, i shall go give her a poke" he chuckles and heads upstairs followed by Matthew.

He gently wakes Niamh, allowing her time to get herself together and come back down.
