Roll cameras part 2

Fustration

A few moments later the front door opens. "Is my mummy home yet?" Is all they hear and Barbara replying with a 'yes'.

Niamh smiles up at Joe from where she's leaning against him while she feeds Maisie.

"Hi mummy!" Matthew beams as he comes into the room.

"Hello sweetheart, did you have a nice trip to the shop?" Niamh smiles.

"Yes I got some sweeties. Grandpa said I have to check with you to see if I can eat them" Matthew smiles.

"You can have a couple, were going to have dinner soon" Niamh smiles

Matthew nods and climbs onto Joe's lap. Matthew sits watching Niamh and then looks at Maisie and gasps "she's biting you Mummy!" Matthew panics.

"It's ok sweetie, she's not" Niamh smiles.

"Maisie... that's naughty!" Matthew says innocently.

"Matthew this is how I feed her" Niamh tries to explain.

"No, she needs food. I can get Granny to make some dinner" Matthew smiles as he gets off Joe's lap.

"Granny, my little sister wants food" he smiles proudly.

"She's already having her dinner sweetie" Barbara smiles.

Matthew turns around and looks at Niamh as she sits there watching Maisie.

"But when I'm hungry I have food" Matthew says confused.

Niamh smiles and looks at Joe as she shuffles slightly and tries not to disturb Maisie.

"She's having milk Matty" Joe smiles with a chuckle.

"Does she have it from your boobies mummy" Matthew asks as he sits with Joe.

They look at each other and Joe nods. "You did once son" Joe smiles.

"No I didn't silly" Matthew says which makes Joe laugh.

"Yes you did Matty, I have proof" Joe laughs as he waves his phone at Matthew.

He frowns at Joe and grabs his phone and chucks it to the floor. "Matthew go and sit on the naughty step now!" Joe says sternly.

"But I didn't do it!" Matthew says as the starts to get upset.

"You threw daddy's phone, you shouldn't do that" Joe tells him.

Matthew stands there as he gets upset and looks at Joe. "Come on time out now" Joe says as he points to the door.

Matthew walks over to the door and sits putting his head in his hands as Joe goes to sit back down, "luckily I'm getting my upgrade next month" he says.

"Joe!" Niamh laughs.

"He's got to learn" Joe replies as he watches Niamh lightly burp Maisie.

"Don't make him sit there for too long" Niamh says.

"He knows not to throw it? So why did he?" Joe says.

"He was frustrated you could tell Joe" Niamh replies.

"Don't tell me you've ever got frustrated when you were younger" Niamh laughs.

"Alright I'll get him up in a sec" Joe says.

Niamh smirks as places Maisie down on her lap to give her arms a break.

"Here take her for a second, I need the loo" Niamh smiles.

Joe takes Maisie and holds her. "Oh Joe while I think about it. There's a Moses basket up in the attic, I shall go get it for you" Barbara smiles.

"Oh thank you Barbara, she should go to sleep now" Joe smiles.

"She looks like she is" Barbara smiles as she heads upstairs.

Once she comes down, Maisie is fast asleep and Joe carefully places her in.

"Oh look how tiny she looks in here" Barbara coos as Niamh comes back in.

"I know I just find myself just staring since she arrived" Joe smiles.

"Same babe" Niamh smiles as she carries Matthew in. "Daddy, I think Matty has something to say to you" Niamh says as she puts Matthew down.

"I'm very sorry Daddy" Matthew says as she tries to hide behind Niamh.

"Matthew come here" Joe smiles. Matthew shakes his head and holds Niamh's leg.

"You not going to come and hug your dad" Joe smiles.

Matthew walks over to Joe sheepishly. Joe picks Matthew up and sits him on his lap, "Matthew I'm not mad at you, just please don't do it again" he says.

Matthew doesn't say a lot but just sits there. "And I'm sorry for shouting" Joe apologises as he glances at Niamh.

Niamh raises an eyebrow at him and smiles. Matthew nods and continues to sit there quietly.

"How about I make everyone something to eat" Barbara smiles as she comes in.

"Well what happened to our tea and Cake mum?" Niamh smirks.

"I'll get them now" Barbara laughs and heads into the kitchen.

Niamh sits down and looks at Maisie sleeping in the Moses basket, "I still can't get my head around she's actually mine, for a whole six hours now" Niamh smiles.

"It's crazy, our little princess" Joe smiles.

Niamh cuddles up to Joe and hugs Matthew. She kisses his head lightly.
