The Groom

Meanwhile Joe has stayed the night at a nearby hotel with Niamh's brother Niall and he has just got out the shower.

Joe looks down at the set of watching wedding rings for himself and Niamh and smiles to himself, "you sisters choice these were" Joe says as he looks at Niall who's just in a towel.

"What can I say, she's always had good choice in jewellery" Niall says to Joe as he walks over to them.
"White goal.... how much did they cost you?" Niall smiles.

"She deserves it all" Joe smiles.

"So how much did they cost you?" He asks again.

"You can't put a price on love Niall" Joe smirks.

"All talk mate" Niall says and goes to put some clothes on.

Joe laughs and puts the rings to one side, "right well I've had a shave, had a shower, teeth brushes... time to get dressed I think" he replies.

Joe goes into his hotel bedroom and gets his trousers and shirt on before his jacket.

Niall lets Brian in who has just arrived and he had the flowers for their jackets.
Once Joe is dressed he comes into the living room where Brian stands before him.

"Very smart if I do say" Brian says to Joe.

Joe smiles at him as he comes over and puts the flower in the top pocket in the jacket.

"Niall get dressed" Brian says to him as he's still in just his trousers.

Niall smiles and heads off to get himself dressed. "I've been meaning to talk with you... about my daughter you're marrying" Brian says to Raf.

"Right... what's that" Joe says nervously.

"Yes, a few things... I never want you to hurt her, never upset her... I know there's going to be petty arguments but if I find you've raised a hand to her... god almighty help you, cherish all the good times and bad times they're not coming like that again... and one more thing... love her" Brian smiles.

"Look... Mr Walsh, when I asked for your blessing it meant the world to me because I know how much you love her and how special she is, and you will never have to worry about my ever laying a finger on her because I love her too much to, and I will try my very best to make sure she never forgets that" Joe says with a massive smile on his face.

Brian simply nods and walks to the sofa and sits down.

Joe goes and sits down also as they wait for Niall to come out from getting dressed.

"Barbara text Niamh's got nerves... she was sick this morning, typical sign from Niamh" Brian smiles as he puts his phone away.

"Bless... I wonder how Matthew is" Joe smiles.

"Running around in the garden with his pants on his head" Brian laughs.

"Oh dear" Joe laughs. "I hope he isn't too much trouble for them" he says.

"Coffee?" Brian asks as he pours the kettle.

"Yes please" he says as he reads something on her phone. "Oh my parents are in the reception area... I'm going to go find them" Joe smiles.

Brian nods and makes himself a drink as Joe heads out the door and down to reception.

He sees his mum with her walking stick stood next to the reception.

"Mum your here" Joe smiles and he walks over to her.

Mary hugs Joe "oh Joseph it's lovely to see you" she smiles.

Joe smiles "did you want to come up?" He asks her.

She nods "we'll take to take the lift, my legs aren't that good today... your dad is just getting my wheel chair and some presents for yourself and Niamh" Mary smiles.

"But your not aloud them until after the wedding" she adds.

"Anyway... where is Niamh?" Mary asks as John joins them.

"She's at her mums" Joe smiles as they head slowly to the lift.

They get to Joe's floor and come out of the lift and to the front door.
Joe knocks the door and Brian answers. "You must be Mr and Mrs McFadden" Brian says as he lets them in.

"Yes we are you must be Niamh's dad" John smiles. Brian nods and let's them inside.

Mary sits herself down as soon as they get into the room and John makes conversation with Brian.

"I haven't seen where they're getting married I've heard it's beautiful" John says to Brian.

"It's beautiful, all Niamh's choice too" Joe smiles.

"I bet she's been planning this forever, all set out" John smiles.

"A year" Joe smiles. "But she's been planning it a life time" he smiles
