Big sister

A little while later everyone who has attended the wedding reception has finished their meals so they move onto the speeches.

First to stand was Chloe who took the first plunge.

She starts to talk about Niamh always causing havoc in the mornings when she went to school because she didn't want to go and how Niamh always looked out for her little sister all the time.

Niamh watches her sister and smiles proudly at her as she talks about her.

Niamh continues to watch Chloe and laughs as she tells everyone about the time she was sick at school in front of the whole school during the Christmas play.

Niamh puts her head in her hands and laughs as she shakes her head.

"...Still to this day I have visions of a seven year old Niamh throwing up on baby Jesus" Chloe laughs as she finishes her speech and sits back down.

Niamh smiles over at her as she's a little embarrassed. Joe then clears his throat and strokes her hand as he stands.

Niamh looks up at him and smiles. "Niamh what can I say about you? Well you're so kind, beautiful, generous and a brilliant Mum. When I first met you we didn't get off to the best of starts but everyday I fell for you more and now look where we are" Joe smiles as he flicks to the next note.

Niamh looks up at Joe happily as he continues."... I would like to take Barbara and Brian for allowing me to marry this wonderful lady, and also thank you for raising such a kind and thoughtful child, although at times she's hard to get through too and she hides her emotion, she's still one tough cookie but she's an actor and damn well good at her job too" Joe smiles and watches as Niamh starts to well up.

She starts to tear up and wipes her eyes a little. "Come here you" Joe smiles as he gestures her to stand.

She stands up and wipes the tears away, He smiles at her and kisses her lips.

He holds her waist and gives her a passionate kiss. Everyone applauds them, "hey don't cry" he smiles as he cups her cheeks.

She giggles and kisses him again and smiles at him.

"I love you" she smiles while Joe still has her cheeks cupped.

"I love you too Mrs McFadden" Joe smiles, She giggles and sits herself down and so does Joe.

She looks over at Matthew and smiles and turns back to Joe.

"Matthew is slowly getting through his ice cream" Niamh mumbles.

"At least he finally ate some of his veg" Joe smiles.

"Finally have you seen how many peas are on the floor?" Niamh chuckles.

"He is quite messy" Joe laughs.

"Very" Niamh giggles as everyone chats amongst themselves.

Niamh and Joe sit there chatting to each other as they wait for everyone to finish off their food and ready for what's next.

Soon everyone is asked to leave the room as they have been in there three hours and they need to prepare the room for the disco and events after.

They all head outside for a bit while everything is getting ready.

"Mummy look the beach" Matthew squeals as he runs over with Holly and Jordan.

Niamh giggles as she stands there with Joe as she stands there watching him.

Joe pulls her close and holds her waist, "he's so happy to be with his cousins" Joe smiles.

"I know... hard to believe he's off to primary school next month" niamh sighs as rests against him.

"Growing up so fast" Joe smiles as he hugs her.

Niamh just smiles and kisses Joe again, "today has been brilliant" she smiles.

"And it's not even over yet" he smiles at her and brushes some hair out of her face.

She smiles happily and watches Matthew a little longer.

Barbara makes her way over to them "I think they're almost finished in there" she smiles.

Niamh nods and agrees, "would you mind watching Matthew for a bit. We just want to go for a little walk" niamh smiles.

"Yeah sure" Barbara smiles.
