Roll cameras part 2

Mr Gilmore types of his computer and takes a few notes before looking up at Joe and Niamh.

"Ms Walsh, or do you want to be called Niamh?" He asks.

"Just Niamh" she replies.

Joe looks at Mr Gilmore and watches his facial expression to see what is going on.

"I'm afraid it's bad news" The consultant begins.

Niamh's heart breaks and she can't help but cry even more. "and?" Joe asks.

"We would like to admit niamh to the general ward just for a day or two, see you have quite a bad infection on the wall of your womb" Mr Gilmore says.

"Oh my gosh" Niamh just manages to say.

"So the infection caused the miscarriage or did the Miscarriage cause the infection?" Joe asks curiously.

"More likely the foetus caused the infection" Mr Gilmore says.
"We can treat it with antibiotics" he adds.

Niamh nods and holds Joe's hand tightly. "Will I be able to have another baby?" She asks.

"In time, I would give your womb at least five months to repair" Mr Gilmore says.

Later on they had Niamh settled on a general admissions ward, cannula inserted into her hand and one in her bend of the elbow. She is currently connected to a drip to give her fluids and has just had her first load of antibiotics.

Joe is currently sat next to him, its two in the morning and Joe hasn't left her side all night.

"Joe you should go home" Niamh says as she looks at him.

"No" he says.

"Look I'm fine here, don't worry" she smiles.

"I'm staying here with you" Joe says.

"No Joe please, go home be with Matthew" Niamh pleads him.

Joe smiles "fine but I'll bring you some stuff up tomorrow" Joe says as he kisses her.

"Bring Matthew if you're allowed" Niamh says.

Joe nods and kisses her again, "love you" he smiles.

Niamh smiles back and as he leaves she lies down. It takes Niamh a while to get to sleep but she manages to sleep around an hour later.
