Roll cameras part 2

Registering

A few days later it's Matthews first day back at school, And Niamh's and Joe are about to take Maisie to have her birth certificate registered.

"Matthew go and get your shoes on please" Barbara tells him as she's taking him to school.

"Why do I have to go to school" Matthew sighs.

"Because mummy's busy today" she tells him.

"Mummy doesn't love me anymore" he replies as he gets his shoes on.

"Matthew! You shouldn't say things like that!" Barbara warns.

"But it's true" he replies simply.

"She loves you very much, so does daddy" she smiles as she grabs his coat.

"But I don't get many squeezie cuddles no more, they're always with her... Maisie is boring" Matthew huffs.

"That's because she's little, she can't do the same things you can" Barbara tries to explain.

Matthew gets his coat on and grabs his bag. "But I know that, everyone tells me" he says rolling his eyes.

"Why don't you help? Bath her of read one of your stories" she suggests.

"No! That's silly!" Matthew replies sounding very much like his dad. He follows Barbara out the house and down the driveway as they walk to his school.

After about 15 minutes they reach his school, "right can I get a hug" Barbara smiles as she holds her arms out.

Matthew hugs her and Barbara manages to kiss his cheek. "Okay. I shall be picking you up later" she smiles.

"Bye!" Matthew smiles as he walks into school.

Barbara smiles and watches until he is out of sight and then walks off home. As she's walking back, her phone goes and she takes it out to see Niamh has text her asking if they got to Matthew's school ok.

She replies and tells her how well he went to school. Before long Niamh texts back saying that herself and Joe are going into town to register Maisie.

Niamh smiles as she sends it and puts her phone away as they pull up in the car park.

They sit there for a bit in silence. "So are you ready?" Joe asks.

"Yes, she's going to be official" Niamh smiles.

"Officially ours you mean" he smirks and leans over and kisses her as he removes the keys from the ignition.

"And that" she smiles as she looks at Maisie in her buggy.

"She will always be ours. Now am I pushing you are you?" He chuckles and kisses her cheek.

"I want to" Niamh smiles.
"Okay" Joe smiles passing the pushchair to Niamh.

They walk inside and Niamh takes a seat with Maisie. Joe books them in and they sit and wait to be called in.

About 5 minutes later they're called in and Niamh pushed the buggy inside. Niamh smiles as she sits down in front of the woman who is sat with the paper work.

"Hello I'm Alex and I'm going to help you get your little one registered" the man smiles and shakes Joe's hand, Joe smiles and sits down next to Niamh.

"So I just have a few forms for you to sign, have you got the ones your nurse gave you?" He asks.

"Erm... yes, you've got them haven't you Niamh?" Joe smiles as he turns to look at her.
"Oh yes they're in my bag" she smiles and pulls them out.

She hands them over to Alex and smiles happily. Joe places his hand on her knee and strokes her knee.

"Here you go" Alex smiles as he hands them the forms and a pen.
