Sand

This was intended to be super fluffy....it went somewhere else.

You were sitting on your bed, on your phone, and ignoring the mountain of homework you had to do tonight. Scrolling through social media was your pass time and you couldn't be bothered to think of the disapproving looks your teachers would give you tomorrow. You were snickering at a goofy picture on your screen when a thump sounded outside your window.

You didn't look up from your phone as you walked over to the window and unlocked it, pushing it open. "How was patrol?" You asked your friend Spider-man as he climbed inside. The sound of him pulling off his mask and little pieces of dirt hitting the ground made your head snap up. His dark brown hair was covered in sand along with clumps on his face and his entire body was layered with sand like he put glue all over his suit and rolled around in a sand box.

"Not on the carpet!" You shouted, grabbing his arm and dragging him to your bathroom. You'd have to vacuum up the sand in your room tomorrow. Slipping your phone into your pocket as you shut it off, you made him stand in the tub as you crossed your arms and looked him over. His face showed something close to guilt as you surveyed him, but he stayed silent.

"You're not allowed out of there until you don't have a grain of sand on your body," you sent him a look and he nodded instantly. "Stay here, I'm gonna get you some clothes to change into." You left and went through the drawers in your room for clothes big enough to fit him. Finding some basketball shorts and a few-sizes-too-big t-shirt, you brought them back into the bathroom and handed them over. "Tell me when you're done," you stepped out of the room and traveled around your house looking for a plastic bag. Once found, you returned to find Peter standing outside the bathroom in your clothes; thankfully, they fit fine.

"Where are your parents?" Was the first thing he said to you.

"Away," you waved off the comment with an answer that wasn't exactly what he was looking for. But he decided to roll with it and nodded. "What exactly did you do tonight?" You headed into the bathroom to find his suit sitting in the bathtub with enough sand to build a sweet sand castle around it.

"You know that new building that's going up?" He asked, following you as far as he could into the bathroom.

"The one with the unnecessary amount of sand near it?" You grinned, knowing what he was getting at.

"Yeah, um, turns out the sand there is like quicksand," he rubbed the back of his neck as he looked away. You let out a laugh as you picked up his suit and shook it so more sand piled onto the pre-existing amount.

"Did you at least stop the bad guy?" You folded up the suit and slid it into the plastic bag, then looked around for his mask.

"Yep."

"Where's your mask?" You muttered, turning in a full circle. Peter shot a web somewhere and then held out whatever it was he retrieved to you. His mask. "Thanks." He moved past you and over to the sand-filled bathtub, looking over at you with question marks in his eyes. "I'll deal with that later," you waved a hand, rolling your eyes at your own comment. Yeah no, you were being lazy. If you weren't going to be doing your homework, you definitely weren't going to clean the bathtub.

"What should I do about my hair?" He pointed to it. You noticed the little grains of rock in his hair and frowned. An idea formed in your mind and you glanced down at the tub.

"Try to get as much of it as you can into the tub then come down to the kitchen," you were already bending over to retrieve some unused shampoo out from under the sink. There was a moment's pause before you heard the sand hitting the bathtub, and as you reached for the bathroom door, you saw him aggressively ruffling his hair above the tub.
