This one gets kinda deep and psychological so possible trigger warning.
Peter stared at the screen in shock. No, there's no way. She died right in front of me, this has to be an imposter.
PETER: Hilarious. You might think it's funny to pretend you're a dead person and talk to people they knew, but this isn't *explicit* funny.
XXX-XXX-XXXX: Peter, I would never do that to you. You know me.
PETER: Who are you really? And don't lie to me this time.
XXX-XXX-XXXX: I told you, I'm (Y/N)! I didn't die, and neither did my sister.
He felt tears fill his eyes. The fact that he wanted to believe this person so bad put him in a tight spot. But the logical side of him kept arguing people didn't just come back from the dead. (Unless you have a spare soul stone lying around.)
PETER: Prove it
XXX-XXX-XXXX: Ask me something only I would know
PETER: What were you and your friend talking about on the bus when you thought I couldn't hear you?
XXX-XXX-XXXX: You were listening?!
PETER: Answer the question
XXX-XXX-XXXX: About my crush on you and then about how you couldn't hear us
PETER: I need proof
XXX-XXX-XXXX: I thought that was proof
PETER: Meet me at that one coffee shop you used to get coffee from on late nights while you were out saving Queens
XXX-XXX-XXXX: Right now?
PETER: Now
Peter got up from his bed and grabbed a light coat, throwing it on. His phone buzzed.
XXX-XXX-XXXX: I'm not exactly in New York. It would take me 5 hours minimum to get there
Peter sighed impatiently.
PETER: Well then you better be there exactly 5 hours from now
~5 hours later
Peter stood outside a building diagonal to the coffee shop, watching everyone who came in and out carefully. He had put his phone to airplane mode so it couldn't be tracked, meaning this person pretending to be (Y/N) couldn't find where he was and just go there. The building he was standing outside of was also a coffee shop, so if they did find him, they'd think this was the place.
Then he spotted two females heading towards the coffee shop. They peeked in through the windows to try and spot someone as Peter hurried across the street toward them. Two heads of (H/C) hair disappeared into the shop, and just as he caught up to them, they were taking their seats. As soon as he tapped on their shoulder he realized the person that turned wasn't (Y/N). The girl across from her wasn't (Y/N)'s sister, either.
"What's up?" The girl asked.
"Uh, sorry. I thought you were someone else." He backed away awkwardly and the girl turned back to her companion. He had actually thought that was them. He scoffed and shook his head at himself.
"Peter?" A quiet, unmistakably familiar voice called. He whipped around to see you standing there, your sister standing just behind you and watching the various people in the shop. He walked up to you, and sensing his aura turn dark you immediately brought your hands up to cover your face. He threw a punch that struck you right in the nose, and while most of the blow was absorbed by your hands, your head still shot back and a spout of blood came out your nose. Immediately afterwards his arms were wrapped around you, hugging you so tightly you couldn't breathe. He was shaking, stifling his sobs as best he could.
