To be clear, this takes place before the spider bite (this has been sitting in my drafts for who knows how long so enjoy :) )

It was impossible to miss you: leather jacket, knee-high boots, dark eyeshadow, cherry red lipstick, hair pulled back, and a RBF. The motorcycle outside? That was yours. Were you a stereotypical bad girl? Oh yes. But it was fun, and you looked great in leather.

Your fellow rebels stood beside you at a summer party you weren't sure why you were invited to. But because it usually meant free drinks and a good time, you decided to show up. So far it hadn't been bad (only one fight but that number should be up by the end of the night).

Then you saw him enter. Casually breaking away from your group, you wandered over to lean against the wall next to the awkward boy. He looked ready to bolt.

"I didn't think you'd show," you murmured, surveying the other party-goers.

"Yeah, well, it sounded like you really wanted me to come so..." Peter fumbled with his sleeves and examined his shoes. You patted his back with a smile.

"How many parties have you been to?"

"Um, 2." You were surprised it wasn't 0.

"Well all you need to know is get all your partying out early because the cops usually show up a couple hours in, and you wanna split before that happens." His wide eyes turned to you and you grabbed his arm so he couldn't leave. "Joking. But seriously, if you need me, just give me a shout." You urged him into the crowd before he could regret his decision. You watched him carefully for a few moments to make sure nobody picked a fight with the scrawny nerd before calmly returning to your gang.

"This party's lame," Roderich said after a long while. The others nodded, looking as restless as he did. You would love to leave with them, but you had a duty.

A thunderous crash grabbed everyone's attention. "Finally! It's getting interesting!" Roderich pushed past you to head toward the fight and you hurried after him. It better not be who you thought it was.

But, of course, it was. Peter was slowly getting up from the broken shards of a glass table while Flash egged him on. Clearly he had a few too many as he nearly fell over. Peter wiped some blood from his forehead and glanced over at you as he adjusted his glasses. You held up your middle finger then brought it across your throat. 'Beat him up' was the PG version of the sign.

"I don't want to fight you Flash," Peter said, trying to back up through the glass.

"Too bad." Flash rushed at him but Peter side-stepped, allowing the drunk kid to go crashing into the already broken table. You couldn't hide a smirk as you felt pride swell up in your chest. He had never been good at fighting but apparently your 'training' was paying off.

Flash stood up and, in a rage, grabbed Peter and threw him right at you. It was pure chance he chose to hurl the poor boy at you, but it gave you a reason to step in. You caught Peter before he crashed to the floor and gently set him aside as you walked up to Flash. He didn't back down, so you acquainted his face with the floorboards. When he didn't get up, you straightened your jacket and looked around at the crowd.

"We're done here." Roderich led the march out the door as everyone else looked on silently. Snagging Peter on the way, you pulled him to your motorcycle. You said goodbye to your friends then shoved a helmet onto the disorientated kid's head. He tilted it up so he could see you.

"Thanks for that." You shook your head and took his glasses off to inspect. The frame was broken but luckily the lenses were only scratched. You gently put his glasses back on with a frown.
