Before she even arrived, everyone was talking about (Y/N). She was the daughter of a billionaire and everyone knew who she was. She had lived in New York up until middle school, where her family moved to Pennsylvania. But now they had moved back and she was going to be attending Midtown Tech.
MJ was stuck between both boys as they talked excitedly to each other about (Y/N). She had heard the girl's name about a million times today and she was getting tired of it. Sure they had 5 different projects to work on but let's talk about this rich girl.
Peter, seeing her annoyance, tried to include her in their conversation. "She went to our elementary school."
"Her birthday was the best day of the year. Her dad always bought this giant cake and the whole class got a huge piece and it was the best." Ned was nearly drooling.
"We used to be friends." MJ looked Peter up and down, wondering if there was even an ounce of truth in what he said. "Do you think she'll remember us?"
"No," MJ said.
"Do you still think she has that lego Luke Skywalker I gave her?" Ned asked, completely ignoring MJ's input. He wouldn't even consider it.
"When does she get here?" Peter looked at the doorway, half expecting (Y/N) to walk through that second.
"Tomorrow," Ned groaned, slumping in his seat. MJ rolled her eyes and tried to return their attention to one of the projects due today. It hurt to hear Peter talk about another girl like that; for a second there she almost thought he liked her. Pushing her resentment for a girl she hadn't even met down, she nearly shoved the project into Peter's face.
"Come on, you can talk about (Y/N) later."

"Ah, they know," (Y/N) mumbled, watching the flood of students surround her upon taking her first step into the building. She had really hoped the faculty would keep it on the down-low, but it looked like there wasn't one person who didn't know she was here.
She did her best to smile at everyone and push her way through them at the same time. There were so many questions hitting her ears at once she couldn't get a word in to any of them. She stepped on someone's foot with her high heels and immediately spun around. "I'm so sorry."
"It's ok," the jock said, smiling through the pain. "(Y/N) (L/N) just stepped on my shoe!" Oh boy. She turned and kept moving, more careful not to stab anyone's toes with her designer shoes. She was so glad she had gotten a tour of the school earlier because if she had to ask for directions someone would probably die due to the mob that offered their assistance.
Thankfully the bell rang and some students headed for their classes. (Y/N) slipped into her classroom and headed for the back, hoping if she kept her head down she wouldn't be swarmed. She had a better chance of meeting someone who'd never heard of her.
The first day was spent welcoming her to the school. Nearly every teacher had her walk to the front of the class and talk about herself. By the third class she was getting tired of all the attention. By the time lunch rolled around she thought she could escape by fleeing to the bathroom. Peace lasted about a minute. Girls swarmed her as she washed her hands.
The lunchroom itself wasn't any better. Nearly every table was calling (Y/N)'s name, gesturing for her to join them. Before she was forced to pick a spot, the principal walked up to her. "(Y/N), would you join me for lunch?" She nodded immediately.
"It would be my pleasure." The other students watched her walk away, grumbling amongst themselves. At the very last table she passed, two boys caught her eye. They waved but she was out the doors before she could figure out why they looked familiar.
