Spider-Man/Peter Parker One-Shots

Just a heads up: this takes place during Spider-Man: Far From Home. The movie hasn't yet come out at the time I wrote this so don't worry about spoilers (this is mostly based on the trailer).

Sometimes bad things happen to good people. People are robbed or murdered for no reason sometimes, that's just how life is. Despite knowing this, most don't think they'll be the one to get mugged, or they're going to get hit by a car. But concerning the list of things that couldn't possibly happen to you, this wasn't anywhere on it.

You were hanging out on the top of a building, specifically your father's company. He ran a newspaper corporation that was well respected and trustworthy to the people of London, your hometown. You and your mother helped him run the company, and even if it doesn't sound that interesting, it was actually a lot of fun.

A soft smile appeared on your lips as you watched the sun set. It was so beautiful, especially from such an incredible view.

A sudden thud sounded from behind you and you whirled around in shock. It was a person clad in a skin-tight black and red suit with big white eyes and what looked like a spider on his chest. The tension left your body as you recalled one of the papers you read: it talked of a new addition to the Avenger's team, a so-called Spider-man. This must be him.

"Are you Spider-man?" you asked, casually walking over to him. His white eyes narrowed and you stopped, feeling the tension in the air you failed to before.

"What are you planning Mysterio?" he demanded, marching toward you. You backed up quickly.

"Mysterio? I'm not-"

"You did what?!" he shouted, grabbing you by the collar and holding you up in the air. You struggled, fear gripping at your insides. What was going on? It's like he'd gone mad.

"Let me go!" you cried, trying to kick him, but he webbed your legs together.

"Where are my friends?" he demanded, jostling you.

"I don't know what you're talking about!" Tears slipped out of your eyes. You just realized how close to the edge of the roof you were; if he wanted to, he could throw you off. You clawed at his arm feverishly in an attempt to make him let go.

He abruptly dropped you and jumped backwards, almost like he was trying to dodge something invisible. You hit the ground harder than you expected and fell over, the shock jolting through your legs. Spider-man shot webs in the air and danced around as you crawled towards the door leading back down into the building.

Then you were webbed and hoisted into the air, and with one snap of the web, you were hurtled back towards the roof. Your scream was cut short by the harsh landing and pain exploded in your head and torso. You groaned, not able to so much as open your eyes through the pain. Feet landed next to you and you were roughly pulled up to face Spider-man.

"I said, where are they?!" he screamed in your face. You grimaced, and wanting to at least see who killed you before he threw you off the side of the building, you reached up and yanked off his mask. He threw you to the ground before you could get a good look at him, and as you clutched the mask tightly, you heard an evil cackle. You could barely raise your head, but it was enough to see a strange man with what looked like robes on hovering nearby, a green mist around him.

There came a quiet gasp behind you as the strange man flew off, his laugh still ringing in the air. Footfalls hurried to your side and you were picked up.

"I'm so sorry!" Spider-man cried. You got one good look at him before finally passing out from the pain. "He must've made me hallucinate-"

"What's all this racket?" The door to the roof flew open and an angry man in a business suit walked out. He spotted Peter right before Peter jumped off the roof with you in his arms. "Stop! That's my daughter!" the man shouted, but Peter was already too far away to hear him.
