It had to be 3 in the morning when you left your job, but as you left, you could still hear the activities going on inside. The only time the building seemed to be quiet was during the middle of the day. You were a stripper, and though one might think that's an awful job to have, they'd be surprised how much you could get on a daily basis.
You wrapped your long coat around yourself tighter, the only barrier between the very few people on the streets seeing your bra and undies. It was a short walk home so you didn't have much to worry about. Half the time you were running late when you went to work, so it just became easier to wear your work clothes on your walk there.
Putting your hands in your pockets, you stopped when you realized your phone wasn't there. You temporarily took your attention away from keeping your body covered, and the coat opened just enough to show some thugs what you had. You eventually found your phone in the inside pocket of your coat and continued on your way, but of course, you didn't make it too far.
"Yo, baby!" You heard someone call, and with a huff, you turned to face who it was. A man stood in the front of his posse, smoking what had to be an illegal drug. He grinned with crooked teeth and beckoned you over.
"Sorry, I'm done for the night," you crossed your arms, your tone final and your eyes hard. The smile fell from his lips and he seemed ticked off. You made to go on your way but found one of the men that was once behind him now standing in your way.
"Come on, I'll pay ya," the leader held up a wad of bills, trying to make the offer tempting.
"I'd really prefer to be left alone," you replied coldly. He sighed and shot a look to two of his buddies, who took a menacing step forward. You were about to take off running when a spandex-wearing hero landed in between you and the men.
"I'm not sure if you heard her, but she told you to leave her alone," Spider-man said, making you smile. There was no way they'd be able to do anything to you with him around.
"Why don't you scram while you still can?" The leader spat angrily, holding up a crowbar you didn't notice he had until now. "This is our business."
"When you threaten to hurt a beautiful lady then it becomes my business," he retorted.
"Just kill this punk," the man shouted, gesturing to the spider with his crowbar. His friends closed in on the hero but Spider-man simply went to work taking them out. While you were watching this with big eyes, amazed, a figure snuck around the fight. That sneaker happened to be the leader.
Arms wrapped tightly around you and you were yanked off your feet, causing you to scream. With both arms around you the thug couldn't cover your mouth, and sure enough, a second later he was met with a web to the face.
He dropped you to the ground as his hands clawed at his face, trying to get it off. Spider-man walked over to the guy and took his head, smashing it on his own knee. The thug was out cold as the superhero dragged him back to the pile of bodies he had created using all the knocked out men.
"Well," Spider-man dusted off his hands, backing away from the pile before turning to you. "You're-" He stopped short as his eyes took in your appearance. That was when you felt the cold chill of the night as your coat lay open, exposing nearly your entire body. You blushed.
"Sorry." You wrapped yourself back up and he extended his hand to pull you to your feet. "Thanks so much," you smiled. "I thought I was gonna have to run home and barricade my door."
"It's alright," he brushed it off, shrugging like it was nothing.
"You deserve at least a little something for helping me out, so what would you like?"
"It's ok, you don't need to-"
"You're saying I have nothing to offer that you don't want?" He paused to think that over, and after a moment, you started laughing. "If you don't want anything that's fine, but I was expecting like a lap dance or something."
"Well, I mean..." He trailed off, probably red as a firetruck.
"Think on it, then give me a call," you winked as you handed him a card with your name and number on it.
So with that, you walked back home, leaving a blushing hero unsure of what to do and questioning whether or not you'd actually do what you suggested he might want.
