When Peter walked out of his room Halloween morning, Aunt May nearly screamed.

"What do you think?" Peter asked, gesturing to his outfit.

"I thought you were actually him," May gasped, putting a hand to her heart. Peter grinned. She took another look as her heart calmed down and nodded in approval. "I was wondering what was taking so long in there. Now you better go or you're going to be late."

"Right." He turned and left out the door. Once out of sight of the (house/apartment), he shot a web at the nearest building and took to the sky. He chose to dress up as Spider-man. He supposed bringing the web shooters was a bit much but why would he pass up the opportunity to use his abilities at school? It was a marvel the principal even allowed the students to dress up, what with how many would be sent home or asked to change (they are teenagers after all).

Peter landed a little out of the school grounds and strutted into the building. He passed the classicsーskeletons, vampires, zombiesーand some characters he both recognized and didn't. There was even a guy in a fat suit.

When he reached his locker, (Y/N) was waiting for him. She had a pointy black hat, a black cape that reached her thighs, a black top and poofy skirt, striped socks that covered most of her legs, black elf shoes, and a mini broom under her arm. A witch. She surveyed his outfit and grinned.

"You look just like him! Where'd you get it?" she asked.

"(I made it/Mr. Stark made it for me)," he replied, opening his locker.

"That's wicked." The bell rang and the crowd around them began to thin as the students rushed to class. Just because he could, he shot a web at his locker door and pulled it shut. (Y/N) eyes popped out of her head. "You even got the webs?!"

"Yep."

"Let me guess: you can also walk on the ceiling." She folded her arms, the beginning of a smirk on her face.

"Is that a challenge?" he asked, eyes narrowing.

"I'm just seeing if you included everything." She shrugged nonchalantly. He pretended to press a button then took exaggerated steps towards the wall, ripping his feet off the ground like they were stuck each time he set them down. He climbed easily up the wall and onto the ceiling, folding his arms once he was directly above (Y/N) with a smug look. Her eyes popped out and rolled along the floor.

"I would ask how you did that but it's probably just really sticky feet." She looked around the hall to see all the students gone. "Oh crap, I gotta get to class!" She took off down the hall, turning to wave goodbye and nearly running into a door. Peter shook his head in amusement before dropping from the ceiling.

"Are you going Trick-or-Treating?" (Y/N) asked as she walked beside Peter. They lived relatively close to each other, and on days when Peter didn't skedaddle off to do his rounds as Spider-man, they walked home together.

"Nah. You?"

"I might, but I'm invited to a Halloween party later." A sudden thought struck her, and she snapped her fingers and pointed at him. "You should come too!"

"I wasn't invited, I can't-"

"I'm sure Susie won't mind," she pressed. "Besides, if I had a costume like yours, I'd try to show it off as much as I could."

"...I'll think about it," he relented.

"Sweet. Party's at 8, I'll swing by your place to pick you up." She turned down her driveway. He stared after her a few seconds before continuing on. He wasn't very good at parties, but if he had someone he could hang out with the entire time maybe it wouldn't be so bad.
