~5 years later
You lay in his arms, content to waste the day away cuddling. He was fast asleep based off his snores, which made you giggle due to them shaking you with their intensity. He must've felt you laughing because he woke up and pulled you closer.
"Wasso funny?" he mumbled.
"You." You grinned at his sleepy expression.
"What was I doing?"
"Snoring."
"And that's funny?" You shrugged. He chuckled and kissed your forehead. "You really haven't grown up since high school have you?" You snickered.
"I guess not. But you already decided to wed me, mister, you can't back out now." You flashed your shiny ring at him. He gently took your hand.
"Wouldn't dream of it." You both settled back down, but before he could drift back to sleep, you nudged him.
"Can I ask a question about...the blip?"
"Of course honey." He sat up, becoming serious. He knew how badly that day affected you, he was your shoulder to cry on after you found out everyone who got dusted's soulmates had their tattoo dust away too.
"Do you ever wonder how different our lives would be if it never happened?"
"I know we wouldn't be a thing." He hugged you tightly. You hummed in agreement. While your soulmate died to the blip, his soulmate died because of the result. So many people disappeared at once, nobody was able to react before even more lives were lost due to accidents. His soulmate died because of one of them.
"I know the Avengers said it was Thanos' fault but what kind of madman is crazy enough to wipe out half of life? Essentially murdering everybody because you think it's good for them?" You scoffed and looked down. "I just wish I could've done something to stop him."
"The Avengers did their best." You knew that. But it wasn't fair. "Hey, honey?" You looked up at him. "Your wrist..." You picked up your arm to inspect it and he shook his head. "Other one. Your tattoo."
"I don't have a..." The spider was back. "...tattoo." You blinked a couple times, pinched yourself, then looked back at your fiance. "What?"
"I...What does that mean?"
"Hold on." You grabbed your phone and sent a text. When people got dusted all of their clothes and belongings on their person disappeared with them. If, somehow, they came back, their belongings should come back with them. Meaning Ned's phone, which has been out of service since he left, should now have an active number.
It only took a couple minutes before you got a reply back. You called him.
"Hello?"
"Ned! Where are you?" You got up, leaving your confused fiance sitting on the couch.
"I, um, I think I'm on the highway...but wasn't I just on the bus with you?"
"I've got so much to explain. Is anyone else there with you?"
"Yeah, a lot of kids on the bus. Did we get transported here because that would be really cool."
"Keep everyone there, I'll explain what's going on when I get there." Then you were out the door.
"Alright, you're my last stop." You pulled into Ned's driveway and glanced over at the kid.
"This is all so weird. How can 5 years pass just like that?" After you explained what happened to the 15 or so kids gathered on the sidewalk, you had to answer a million and one questions, most of which you couldn't answer. Then you piled them into your fiance's pickup and dropped them off at home, making sure at least one family member was there before moving on.
