"Just come home already you jackass. How dare you keep a lady waiting!" You sniffle. You were staking out Joey Webster's apartment. You could see straight into his apartment from your perch on the roof of the building next door. It wasn't your first stake out, so you shouldn't be having any problems.
The only problem was.... It was freezing!
He should be back soon. You thought to yourself.
Bingo!
There he was, exactly as the evidence depicted. 6' 1", black shoulder length hair, but the evidence didn't depict him in his full... 'splendor'. His face was covered in stubble and scars, he had several tattoos, and...you could smell him from your perch.
Well, time to go.
You slide down from your perch, and head over to the apartment complex. You knock out the power, and slip past everyone. Three knocks on the door and he answers. He immediately tried to slam the door in your face. Rude. You stick your foot in the door and slam your shoulder into it. Webster stumbles back at your surprising force, so you let yourself in.
Webster scrambled back, and went for a knife under the sofa cushion. He turned and slashed in your direction, but you lightly leapt back and kicked the knife out of his hands. You heard a satisfying CRACK, as the knife skidded across the floor. Webster screeched in pain as he clutched his broken hand.
"That's what you get, scum. If you kill, you'd better be prepared to be killed." You hiss. As you move slowly towards Webster.

"I think I'll get myself a drink before I continue the search." Shinichi said with a yawn.
Buzz Buzz Buzz
Shinichi looked down at his cell. Blocked number. He flipped his phone open and pushed talk.
"Hello!" Shinichi answered.
"Hello Judo~" Came the frustratingly annoying hum.
"How did you get this number!"
"Honestly, for a detective you sure do expect people to give you answers a lot~!"
"Cut the jokes! What do you want, Black Fox?!" Shinichi hissed.
"Very well then. I figured I should tell you, I've found the murderer you're looking for."
"What? Impossible! It's only been three hours!" Shinichi choked on his soda.
"Why so surprised? It shouldn't be that hard to believe that someone is better than you! You're fooling yourself if you think you are the best~" You sing over the phone.
"Fine." Shinichi growled. "Where is he?"
"I'll text you the address, and don't bother tracking this phone! I'll be dumping it shortly!"
"How did you find him?"
"Tsk tsk Judo, you know I won't tell you that! What would stop you from claiming my work? I'll be going now."
"Good riddance." Shinichi grumbled.
"Oh, and Judo, I would make sure to bring an ambulance with you. Oh, and don't forget to tell Mickey!" You hum happily.
"Why do I need to call an ambulance? What did you do to him?!" Shinichi shouted into the phone, but the line was already dead.
-------------------------------------------------------
You drop the disposable phone and crush it under your heel. You were back on top of the building across the street from the apartment complex.
You rub your bloody hand, and glower across the street. Who does that murderer think he is? Doesn't matter now. He won't be hurting anyone again anytime soon. You think to yourself as the police cars pull up.
Shinichi leapt out of the police cruiser, and sprinted into the apartment complex, closely followed by the police. He headed to the apartment specified in your text, and found the door ajar.
Shinichi tentatively pushed the door open, and found your handiwork. He scowled at the man before him in disgust. You smile, and push a button on the little remote you had stashed away in your pocket.
Inside the room, a soft whirring sound came from a children's toy that you had left under the window. It was a dancing monkey that jumped up and down, with its hands in the air.
You had positioned it under the window, knowing Shinichi would notice you standing on the adjacent roof. He stared at the toy, before looking up, and spotting you. His expression deepened to loathing when his eyes fell upon you. How rude! What is with these men?
Shinichi said something to Mcguire, and headed out of the room. Here he comes~ You stretch and yawn as you lay back, and wait for the teenage detective.
"Good evening, Judo~" You hum, as you notice the subtle change in the wind. He stood, blocking you from the breeze.
"What's wrong with you?" Shinichi hissed.
"Wow, way to be vague." You mumble.
"What were you thinking? You could have gotten yourself killed, and why would you do that to that man?" Shinichi growled.
"You mean the man who just murdered someone over 2K dollars? Sorry, I wasn't told to handle a MURDERER with kid gloves. Besides, I didn't hurt him any more than necessary." You shout defensively.
"You broke his hand."
"He tried to stab me."
"You broke several of his ribs!"
"He lunged at me!"
"You crushed his foot!!"
"He tried to run!!"
"And what about his nose!!!"
"I had to make sure he wouldn't try anything before you got here, and I didn't feel like wasting my rope!!!"
"He wasn't going anywhere with how much you broke him!!!!"
"Stop being a drama queen! I made sure to put all the broken parts in splints, so what's the problem!!!!"
Shinichi took a deep breath, and rubbed his face in exasperation. "How did you find him?"
"You mean you couldn't figure out his approximate height based on the angle of the stab wounds, didn't notice the strand of long black hair on his shoe, or the pile of cigarettes and beer cans that were piled in the alley? Why, I'm disappointed!" You say with mock shock.
"How do you know he held the knife like a normal person?" Shinichi quizzed.
"Come now, you're just testing me to see how good I am."
"Humor me."
"Very well then, I'll bite. Based on the upwards angle of the wounds and the location of the wounds on the body, it all becomes clear. He held the knife in the most comfortable position, around the level of the diaphragm, give or take a few inches. Had he been shorter holding the knife over his head, the wounds would have had a downward angle. On the other hand, had he been taller, the wounds would have been located closer to the victim's chest rather than his hips." You rattle off your previous deduction. "Please, keep asking all your little questions! It would make me very happy to watch your look of shock intensify."
