The hint for the last chapter's code: What does (Y/N) call Jodi the last time they met?
Remember, I'll put all other languages in plain bold. Like this!
--------------------------------
You skipped off the elevator ahead of the others, and waited for them at the door. "So, you're also friends with Ms. Mouri then!" The teacher chirped to Heiji. You were impressed with how well she was taking your taunting, and you were pleased that neither of the boys seemed to notice. How long will they take to figure this out? You questioned, as you waited for them to catch up.
"Yeah, it's a pleasure to meet you." Heiji responded.
"I didn't know that Cool Kid had a foreign friend." Jodi muttered.
"Foreign?" Heiji asked, confusion written across his face as plain as day.
"Your skin is very dark for a Japanese, and your Japanese is a little strange!" She replied as though it made complete sense. Both Conan and you strained to keep from laughing.
A vein popped in Heiji's forehead. "Idiot! Osaka-ben is perfectly good Japanese!" He shouted angrily at the teacher.
"Osaka-ben? What's that?" She asked obliviously.
"It's a dialect. Like the Southern accent in America." Conan explained.
"Oh!" Jodi nodded in understanding.
You patted the high schooler's arm. "There there, Spikey Head. I like your accent." You tried to soothe, as the four of you exited the building.
To the left of the entrance, the woman you'd seen before was snapping photos of the building. "That's the woman who came out of the apartment next to yours." You mused aloud.
"Oh, she's my neighbor's girlfriend." Jodi informed you.
"What's she doing taking photos?" Heiji muttered curiously. Detectives are overly nosy. You thought to yourself with a shake of your head. I mean, I'm nosy too, but I don't voice it... that much.
You were about to keep walking, when something hit the pavement a few feet to your left, causing you to jump. Heiji and Conan headed to the small object, and picked it up. "A cell phone." Conan stated.
"What's it doing here?" Heiji questioned.
You glanced up in the direction you assumed it'd come from, and your eyes widened. "Watch out!" You shouted, as you tackled the boys with all of your strength. Heiji's elbow caught you in the head, as you slammed into them. They toppled to the side, as a body slammed into the pavement where they'd been standing. You got to your feet, and rubbed your sore head, your attention firmly on the corpse that now rested at your feet.
"Thanks for the save, Rin." Conan thanked, as he got to his feet, and strode over to the body.
The two boys instantly went into detective mode, and crouched beside the body. "Death was instant." Heiji muttered as he examined the body. "But where did he fall from?" He questioned, as he looked up at the towering building.
"The 21st floor." Jodi answered immediately. "He's my neighbor, Mr. Takai." She explained.
"No, it's... it's not true..." The woman who'd been taking photos whispered. She stepped closer to the corpse, her eyes already filled with tears.
"When you left your apartment with those two men, was Mr. Takai still in there?" Heiji asked the grieving woman.
"Y-yes. He was drunk, and asleep on the bed." She whimpered the words. "But... but why did he commit suicide?" She began to weep loudly.
