Don't you dare! You wanted to scream at the top of your lungs. You'd never felt so angry towards a friend, and it was probably for the best. Conan had duped you. He'd called you up the day after he'd been so rude, and said he wanted to make it up to you. Unbeknownst to you, it was all a hoax. The second you'd entered the Kudo household, you'd been hit with a tranq dart. You'd tried to resist the effects, and even managed to give his accomplice a solid punch where the sun doesn't shine. However, you succumbed to the dart's effects, and had collapsed. Now, there you were, locked in the guest bedroom, and handcuffed to the desk. He'd even cleared everything from the room and your pockets, so as to lower your chances of escape.

Your blood boiled, furious tears once again prickling at the corner of your eyes. You yanked fruitlessly at the silver cuffs, only managing to dig the metal into your flesh. How could you do this? You know I wanted to go with you! You mentally shouted, as though your words could reach the target of your rage. You figured he'd been invited to the out of season Halloween party that Kogoro had, and also figured it was a trap. You knew how Conan thought. He'd send a decoy to the party, so he could handle those who would undoubtedly go after Haibara. Without a doubt, his decoy was Spikey Head (as you'd discovered after punching him). He wouldn't allow Haibara to be in danger, so it was obvious he'd make himself the bait.

"You and your damn ego!" You screamed, slamming your fist into the desk. You took a moment to slow your breathing, before setting your mind on escaping. The only objects he'd left in the room for you was a plate with a few sandwiches, and a bottle of water. He'd taken your phone, your knives, your shoes, even your hair bow.

You grinned, as you struggled to grab the plate. You examined it's contents, before slamming the plate against the edge of the table. It shattered, as glass does, scattering jagged shards across the floor at your knees. Once again adjusting the cuffs, you sifted through the shards, setting a few to the side. When you had a few, you set to work. Using the glass like a shim, you attempted to open the cuffs. The glass cut into your hands, but your desire to punch the boy outweighed the pain. Over and over, the glass slivers snapped before they could complete their task, but you kept at it. If you think I'll stop just because you say so, you have a lot to learn.

Everything was progressing smoothly. Conan had outwitted the Black Organization. He'd figured they'd come for Haibara while he was attending their party. Instead, Heiji had attended the party, while he disguised himself as Haibara. It didn't take long for things to escalate. Jodi had come to pick up "Haibara", so he went with her. They'd driven for a while, before Jodi stopped the car, and faced the one who'd been following. The good doctor Araide.

Conan had stayed silent and watched, as the doctor's mask was removed to reveal Vermouth, more commonly known as Chris Vineyard. When Jodi had been shot by Vermouth's accomplice in the shadows, he'd revealed himself. Kicking a ball through the window of the car, he knocked the gun from Vermouth's hands, and stood before her, stun gun wristwatch aimed at her chest.

Things were going so well, so why did she have to show up! Conan thought to himself in a panic, as Haibara stepped out of a taxi. She wore his spare glasses, having used them to track his location. How'd she get out? He wondered, having been sure she was locked in Dr. Agasa's basement. In his moment of distraction, Vermouth made her move. She grabbed his arm, and twisted the watch 180 degrees, until it was pointed directly at him. She pushed the trigger, and the dart entered his flesh. Within seconds, he felt the world begin to spin. The last words he heard, "Good night, baby."
