This is going to be a short chapter, just something to tide you lot over until I can get the next chapter done. I hope you enjoy!

"Conan, remember, we're going to the beach with Kazuha and Heiji for the weekend." Ran called to Conan, as he hung up his book-bag.

Conan hesitated. "What about Rin?"

"She's said she didn't want to come, so she'll be staying over at Dr. Agasa's house."

Conan's eyes narrowed, and he fixed his gaze on you. You ignored him. "Doc'll be here soon, so I'm gonna go get my stuff together." You chirped childishly, before skipping up the stairs, and to your room.

You didn't bother to lock the door, you knew he'd be pushing it open in a few moments. You grabbed an empty duffel-bag, and began to shove clothes into it. As soon as you'd finished filling the bag, he pushed the door open.

"What's going on?" He barked.

"Wow, no knocking? What if I'd been getting changed?" You taunted. A smirk pulled up your lips, as you turned to face him.

"This is serious. You can't keep going off on your own." He stated. The expression on his face was a strange mix of frustration and worry.

"I'm not going off on my own. If anything, I'm being extra prepared." You replied.

"Mind filling me in?" He mumbled.

You let out a sigh, before plopping down onto the edge of Ran's bed. "Promise to hear me out, and not get angry?"

The frustration on his face became more pronounced. "What's going on?"

You took a deep breath. "I'm going to take the Apitoxin antidote." You said, your voice level and calm.

Conan's blue eyes widened. "Are you crazy?" He hissed, before quickly closing the door, and stomping over to you. "Did you forget what happened the last time you went through the transformation?"

"Of course I didn't forget."

"Then what are you thinking?!"

"Haibara and I have been talking about this for a while now. If I ever get into a dangerous situation, it's important to know if it is a viable option for survival. With that in mind, we need to know how my body holds up under a more proper antidote. Haibara and I agree it's best to try it under closed supervision, first. I'm being very mindful of my situation, that's exactly why this needs to happen." You explained, keeping your tone soft so nobody outside the room could hear. "And now is the perfect time to do it. Ran and the others won't notice 'Rin's' absence, and I got a little cold from walking around in the labyrinth. Everything is lining up perfectly for this to happen." You stated.

You could see the gears turning in Conan's head. He didn't like the idea of you putting yourself in danger, but, at the same time, he couldn't argue with your reasoning. He let out a heavy breath. "Fine, but I want to be there."

"You're going to the beach tomorrow, you can't just tell Ran no out of the blue like this!" You protested.

"That's true, but that doesn't mean I can be there when you take it."

You eyed him dubiously. "You know you can't be there when I actually turn back, right?" Conan froze, finally registering what was going to happen when you took the antidote. In an instant, his face turned cherry red. "Oi, oi, get your head out of the gutter." You barked, snapping his focus back to your face. The second his eyes met yours, he turned away, and stared hard at the door. "You won't be able to do anything if something goes wrong. As long as you are aware of that, you can come."
