You found some seats, and dropped into one. Kazuha (who had come despite Heiji's insistence) sat to your left and Kogoro sat beside her. The performance got underway, but you weren't paying attention. Your spine was tingling, and not in a good way. After years of trying to protect yourself, you'd developed a sixth sense. When someone was staring at you, you could feel it. (I don't know if that makes sense to you guys, but it happens to me all the time, and it fits the character. =P )

You were trying to look around at the audience without drawing attention to yourself. At one point, you acted like you were stretching so you could get a look behind you. That's when you saw them. You couldn't see their face in the pitch black auditorium, but something about them made your skin crawl. You stopped stretching, and tried to stop the tremor that began in your hands. It was him. You were sure about it. But, why was he watching you now of all times? You were in disguise, there was no way he knew it was you! A thought crossed your mind, and your heart sank. Unless he wasn't watching you, but Conan. You shook the thought from your head. He isn't going to hurt anyone else until he's killed me. He must have figured out it's me.

You tried to focus on the performance, but those eyes seemed to burrow into your soul. You stared intently at the performance, no longer able to stop the shaking that had spread throughout your body. You only snapped out of it when a scream echoed through the hall. You leapt to your feet along with many others. You raced to the end of your row, and saw what the commotion was about.

A body was crumpled on the ground. You immediately glanced back to where he'd been standing. He was gone. I can't worry about him right now. There's nothing I can do about him, all I can do is handle the case in front of me. You examined the body from a distance. When the lights came on, the cause of death quickly became obvious. You glanced at the people looking at the body, and almost snorted with laughter. A boy stood to the side, a baseball cap pulled down over his eyes. He sucks at disguising himself. You smirked.

When the police arrived, you were pleased to see that Mickey was in charge. Sure, he was pretty incompetent, but he had a sharper mind than most of those on the force. He also wasn't against external help, and he did everything he could when a certain detective brat was involved.

You glanced back at the boy in the baseball hat. You couldn't imagine what gave him this terrible idea, but you could see the powder from twenty feet away. You grinned under the voice changing face mask.

You returned your attention to the case. "Do you know the cause of death?" Lover boy (aka Takagi) asked one of the forensic investigators.

Before the man could respond, the capped and powdered boy intruded. "Hydrogen Potassium." He stated loud enough for all the officers to hear.

"T-that's right." The forensic specialist admitted.

"Alright, how'd you know that?" Mickey barked.

"It's his coloration." You answered the question.

Mickey looked down at you, confusion written on his face. "What do you mean by that?"

"In a normal corpse the fingers and lips change color, usually a shade of purple. This man's fingers and lips, however, are pink." You rattled off the deduction as though it was second nature (which it kind of was).

"Wow, Conan, how'd you know that?" Ran leaned down next to you.

You silently cursed yourself. You'd gotten a little carried away by the case. You quickly slid back into the role of Conan. "Rin's always talking about poisons, and their effects on people." You chuckled nervously, as you rubbed the back of your head. "I guess I retained more than I thought!"
