I'm terrible at updating frequently... I have no excuse... I'm soooo sorry! On a happier note, my niece just turned one! Now that the preparations and party are over, I can update!

----------------------------------------

What is wrong with those two? You silently pondered as you watched them eagerly question the client.

Melinda Todo, age 18. She came in not long after Heiji. She said she had a case that the police wouldn't take. Her brother had died, two days ago, and the police had ruled it a suicide, but Melinda didn't believe it.

"My brother would never take his own life! He was always so happy and kind hearted. He would never do this!" Melinda cried.

"Did he leave a note?" Heiji asked, before Kogoro even had time to think.

"Y-yes." Melinda stuttered as she pulled a neatly folded piece of paper from her purse. "I got a copy of it from the police."

"How did your brother die?" Conan inquired, as he took the note from her.

"T-the police said he overdosed on pills, but my brother hated meds."

You leaned over l, and read the suicide note.

Mel,

My sincerest apology. Under no circumstances do I want to leave you. Right now, I wish we could go back to happier days. Don't cry for me. Enjoy your life, without me. Remember, I have always loved you. Everyday live to the fullest. Regret nothing, and live happily.

Always Sincerely,

Trent

Your eyes wandered over the text, and you immediately noticed several things. The two boys had scanned the paper, and grown bored with it. "What makes you think it is murder?" Heiji asked. "Is there any evidence to prove your theory?"

"N-no." Melinda mumbled. You chuckled, and leaned back.

"What about this is so funny to you?" Conan growled.

"Just the fact that two of the world's greatest detectives are oblivious." You snickered.

"Care to enlighten us, as to what we are so oblivious about?" Heiji turned towards you.

"A clue to this being murder is right in front of your face."

"What, in the note? We read it, there's nothing in it." Kogoro barked.

"Isn't it odd that a suicide note is so happy?" You sighed. "Look for yourselves."

Conan and Heiji scrambled over each other to get the note, and they scanned it again. "What person about to commit suicide talks about happy days, enjoying life, love, and living without regrets? Don't most suicide notes talk about why they are offing themselves? How they hate the world, they can't take the hell anymore, or they are disgusted with their life. I mean, this guy seems pretty happy."

"Your right." Heiji muttered.

"I can't believe we didn't catch that." Conan groaned.

"That's not all." You hummed.

"What else is there?" Heiji asked, grinning like a fool.

"That suicide note is a message telling everyone he was killed."

"Where do you see that?" Kogoro growled.

"In the main text, look at the first letter of each sentence. They spell something." You yawned.

"M-U-R-D-E-R-E-R. Murderer!" Kogoro screeched.

"Exactly. Now, I have a question of my own. Did you have any nicknames you and your brother knew?"
