When you made it back home, Conan was waiting for you outside. "What took you so long?" He called when he spotted you.

He had on that frustrating smirk of his, and his eyes were the same you'd described to the Doc, full of trust and kindness."I was chatting with Doc, you got a problem with that?" You replied snarkily. You looked up at the sky, trying to hide your embarrassed frustration, and that's when you spotted the raven. So soon? I guess you were busy~

He shrugged. "I was getting tired of waiting for you to get back."

"Why were you waiting?" You asked skeptically.

"What, am I not allowed to hang out with you anymore?" He chuckled. "How about this, to make up for leaving you behind today, we'll do something you want to do." He suggested.

Actually, I chose to stay behind... but... this does seem like a good opportunity to let him in on my little secret. It is a little strange he isn't letting me go in, but I'll let him off this time. You smirked at the boy. "Deal." Without waiting for him to reply, you turned, and began heading back the way you'd come.

He jogged to catch up to you, before falling into step beside you. "So, where are we going?"

"I have someone I'd like you to meet, but you have to keep this location a secret." You stated.

"Alright, no problem." He shrugged, not even slightly doubting your intentions.

"Promise?" You emphasized your statement by holding out your left hand, with your fist closed, and only your pinky sticking out.

He shook his head and chuckled, before locking his own pinky finger around yours, and shaking it lightly. "I promise."

You smiled brightly, before skipping ahead. You spotted the raven flying ahead of you, periodically circling to make sure you were still following. You glanced back at Conan. "Hurry up, Judo! They won't wait much longer!" You shouted back at him.

"Who?"

"I'll explain later, just run!" You chuckled, before breaking into a sprint. You didn't look back to see if he was following you. Your attention was entirely focused on the bird high above you. You chased after it, following it into a nearby park. You watched the pitch black bird fly into a massive ginkgo tree, and vanish. Stopping for only a moment, you began to climb the tree.

"Rin!" Conan shouted at you, glancing around to see if anyone was watching. "What are you doing?" He hissed up at you.

"You'd better hurry, they don't wait. Trust me, Judo, it's cool." You chuckled, as you kept climbing.

When you had climbed over halfway up into the massive tree, you settled onto a branch. "Why are we in a tree?" Conan groaned, as he climbed up and sat beside you. When he saw what was right in front of him, he understood.

It was a massive nest, around three feet in diameter. In the nest were two large ravens, and half a dozen eggs. "Judo, I'd like you to meet Kuro, and his mate, Merla." You introduced, gesturing to the two birds in turn.

"So, these are your ravens." Conan muttered, amazed at how majestic the jet black birds were up close.

You turned to face Kuro. "You've got a full nest this year, huh buddy?" You hummed, as you studied the seven eggs in the nest.

"Baybay!" The bird called out in a feminine tone.

"That's right, you've got a new clutch!" You smiled. The raven hopped over to the edge of the nest closest to you, and studied Conan, his head cocked curiously. Without warning, he flapped his wings, and lighted on Conan's head.
