Also, I'm sorry if the timeline doesn't match up well with Detective Conan. I have no way of knowing what time of year each even occurred, and for that I am very sorry.

"Come on Judo, where are you taking me?" You whined as Shinichi led you along blindfolded.

"Just hang on a little longer. We're almost there." Shinichi chuckled.

"Fine, it's just really hard to walk in crutches with a blindfold on."

"Yeah, just a few more seconds." Shinichi said. "Alright, you can look now."

You pulled off the blindfold and stared in amazement. You were on a hilltop outside the city, surrounded by dozens of blooming cherry trees. "They're beautiful." You whispered, captivated by the sea of pink petals. The view itself was impeccable enough, but then you heard the violin.

You spun around to find the source of the music, and you didn't have to look far. Standing behind you, playing the violin was none other than Shinichi. He seemed to be completely enthralled in each note. Happy Birthday softly drifted from the violin, making your eyes water. When Shinichi finally looked at you, he stopped and looked at you worriedly. "Are you okay? What's wrong?"

"N-nothing, I'm just shocked and amazed."

"What do you mean?"

"I'm shocked, because this is the most amazing thing I've ever experienced, and I'm amazed by it all."

Shinichi smiled. "So... Good birthday?"

You chuckled. "Yes, thank you so much Shinichi." You sat there, taking in the beauty before you in blissful silence. "Hey, Judo."

"Yeah?"

"Why'd you decide to bring me out here? Don't get me wrong, I love it, but it doesn't seem like your kind of thing. I expected you to bring me to a museum or something along those lines."

"Promise you won't laugh..." Shinichi asked, looking at you pleadingly.

"Sure." You stated.

"I just figured that your whole life you've been surrounded by the ugly side of the world. With a psycho stalker, back alleys, and cases, I figured you hadn't gotten to see the beauty. With that in mind, I decided I wanted to show you the most beautiful scenery I could think of. I always used to play the violin to make up with Ran, so I figured that would be a good idea too."

"Judo!" You chuckled.

"You said you wouldn't laugh!"

"It's not laughing, I'm just flattered that you would put so much thought into something like this. You and Kid have both given me the greatest birthday I could have imagined. I'm glad you two are my friends." You smiled up at the fluttering cherry blossoms. And I can't remember ever feeling this loved or wanted. You thought to yourself.

"Aw crap." Shinichi cursed as he glanced down at his watch.

"What's the matter?"

"School's about to let out, and I promised Ran I would take her to Tropical Land for winning the Karate Regional Championship. I'm sorry, I didn't think this through as well as I thought I had." Shinichi apologized.

"Don't worry about it. I had a wonderful time. Now, go pickup your best friend. It's best not to keep a girl waiting."

"Let me help you up, and I'll take you home."
