I don't care how long this chapter ends up, I'm finishing this movie!

The police were quickly contacted, and arrived in moments of the murder. They began their investigation, but you didn't care. It was clear who the murderer was. The two men had the easiest access from their location by her side, and one of them would have had an easy time rigging the pulley system. He claimed to have an alibi for one of the previous murders, but you could see through his tricks.
You stood to the side of the stage while Kogoro made one of his hair brained deductions, but this one made partial sense. "That's just some rubbish you came up with." Conan muttered from behind the cocky detective. Kogoro spun around furious, grabbed the boy by the back of his coat, and hurled him across the stage. The boy landed a few feet from you, rubbing his sore rump.
"My oh, oh my, that sharp tongue of yours is going to get you into serious trouble. You need to temper it with a little more restraint." You hummed, trying to keep from chuckling.
"You're one to talk." He barked.
"Based on how you look right now, I suppose you haven't solved it yet." Haibara muttered, as she stepped onto the stage.
"If you know, why don't you help." Conan grumbled.
"Let's see, I believe Ms. Mio had been drinking. How else could someone slip piano wire around her necklace?" Haibara suggested.
You saw the cogs turning in the boy's head. He found something on the floor, and immediately sprinted from the room. "Well, somebody seems to be figuring it out." You smirked, before walking off the stage yourself. Before you stepped off, you glanced at Haibara. "Make sure to stick close to everyone, we wouldn't want you getting lost~" You called in a sing-song voice, before going off on your own.
You meandered into the middle of the crowd, scanning for anything abnormal. That's when the building trembled, as though shaken by the Earth's tantrum. The lights flickered off, plunging the room into nearly complete darkness. You steadied yourself, as yet another tremor wracked through the towering structure. Panic rippled through the crowd, but at the moment it was still subdued. You tensed. This was no earthquake. I know that kind of tremor, I know that sound, and I'm sure I'll start smelling it before long. You thought to yourself, as you scanned the crowd. Even if, theoretically, one of these elevators is still operational, it won't be able to take everyone down. It sounded and felt like it was several floors below us, so hopefully the stairwell won't be compromised. Your eyes flickered from person to person, assessing the best possible outcome. If the elevator can carry the women, children, and elderly... the elevator can take, most likely... 600 kilos... around 9 adults... It'll take at least three trips to get those people down. If, by luck, the fire is below the second sky bridge... A well functioning elevator can travel one floor in... 1.5 seconds. Taking into account putting it at its maximum weight capacity on the way down, let's say 2 seconds. Giving time to load the elevator... it'll be... 195 seconds to get to the sky bridge on the 45th floor and back up here. If I did my math correctly... and based on my understanding of the properties of fire... it'll be too risky to use the elevator more than twice...
As you'd suspected (more so hoped) the VIP elevator was on an external power source. Mickey instructed the women, children, and elderly to take the elevator, while everyone else headed down the stairs to the sky bridge on the 60th floor. The brats and Haibara were pushed onto the elevator. "You go too Conan." Ran insisted, pushing the boy on, but the weight limit had been reached. Your eyes widened. This elevator can only handle around 570 kilos!
