A/N: This chapter has no serious plot relevance, but I wanted more fluff cause I'm having a health flare. Enjoy!

"What could Kid want with a painting?" Ran asked. "Doesn't he usually go after jewels?"

"Who knows what a thief is thinking." Kogoro huffed. "Whatever the case, I'm going to get him this time!" He barked.

"We're in the middle of nowhere." You muttered, as you stared out the window.

"There it is." Ran pointed out the window, at a large two-story house clinging to the side of the mountain.

"Gah, there are so many reporters." Kogoro grumbled, as he pulled the car to a stop.

"Kid is really popular." Ran muttered.

You pulled a face mask from your pocket and hooked it over your ears. "I'll take that~" You whispered in a sing-song voice, as you plucked the baseball cap from Conan's head.

He glared at you. "What are you doing?"

You slid on the cap. "Too many cameras."

Conan's expression softened, and he nodded. He knew you tried to avoid being on camera due to your stalker. It wasn't going to stop him from trying to kill you, but you hated the idea of him watching you like a wolf watching a rabbit.

The car was swarmed by reporters. Conan climbed out, and you followed right behind him. You squinted against the flashing lights and pulled the baseball cap down a little lower.

"What do you think, Conan? This will be your third challenge against the Kid, can you stop him?" A reporter asked.

"It'll be tough, but I'll do it! And it's not the third time..." He stated vaguely.

"Oooh, then the cases in the newspaper weren't the only times you faced him?" Another reporter called.

"Well, I happened to bump into him a few other times..." He chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck.

As always, Judo thrives in the spotlight. You chuckled to yourself, as you slipped through the crowd of reporters. Having that many eyes on you was uncomfortable. You leaned against one of the news vans and watched the chaos. Away from the loud noises and flashing lights, you let out a sigh and pulled down the stuffy mask. "Why the hell are we out here?" You whined.

The news crew was hard at work unloading the van and setting up the equipment, and police officers hurried to and fro. It was always interesting to see how chaotic, yet organized people could be.

"Don't get me wrong, these cases are always fun, but this place... it just seems rather... bourgeois." You muttered, as you looked at the mountainside home. You watched the crowd of reporters shift towards the door, presumably carrying Conan and the others with it. You pushed away from the van. "I'll see you inside~" You sang, as you started towards the others.

You once again slipped through the swarming reporters and slid through the doorway behind the others. You waited for them, leaning against the wall nearest the door. When they finally managed to get inside, Conan spotted you. He walked over to you, his eyes narrow.

"You've already seen him, haven't you."

"What makes you say that?"

"Your mask was down when you slipped through the reporters, which means you were talking to someone you were comfortable around." He looked out the window at the crowd of reporters and police. "Is he among them?" He grumbled.

"And who's saying I didn't find some interesting evidence?"

"If you found something interesting, you'd have said something about it. And, if you saw something more nefarious, you'd look concerned."
