The gang and I are in the hallway when the bell rings meaningless have to go to 5th period Music "I'm hungry and lunch is in like 3 hours" I groan "Can we go to the corner store or something?" Mads asks "So you're saying you wanna skip?" Matt asks as I nod "Will your mom be ok with that?" "Really? We're in school. Pretty sure you don't have to run everything by her" I tell him "Ok fine. Just asking" "How we gonna get out? There's cameras practically everywhere" Nate motions to the one camera on the ceiling "We have to go quickly and quietly" Ryan says as Emily nods and she walks ahead of us and we get out the door
Time skip................
We get to the corner store and we pick out snacks then sit on the step and eat them "You sure Taylor and your mom won't be pissed about this?" Matt asks "Why are you so worried about Jade's parents?" Emily asks him "Well Jade's my girlfriend and I don't want her to get in trouble like when we went to the movies" He explains "Speaking of.... did you get in trouble?" "Not really. Mom just gave me a lecture about how she doesn't want me turning into her when she was a teenager" I tell them "You're not" Nate states as I nod "Exactly" as Emily quietly starts singing "Y'know it wasn't that long ago, we were all living in the jungle" I smile "So why do we gotta put each other down" Mads joins in "When there's more than enough love to go go around"
The others smile as they join in and we all start singing "COME TO MAMA, TELL ME WHO HURT YA. THERES GONNA BE NO FUTURE IF WE DONT FIGURE THIS OUT" we laugh and we head back to school
Time skip..........
We run back into school and come face to face with Taylor "Uhhh" Ryan mumbles "H-hey Tay" I wave "You're in trouble" he says angrily "How mad is she?" I ask nervously as Mom comes out of the main office "JADE ELIZABETH MARIE GERMANOTTA YOU ARE FUCKING GROUNDED FOREVER" She yells as we all jump back "Ms G" Matt tries to say "You do not understand how angry I am at you right now" Mom hisses "Ga-" Mads gets cut off "How could you all be so damn in responsible?!" She asks "Why the hell did you skip anyway?!" Taylor yells "We were hungry so we got food?" Emily asks "WHAT THE HELL?! YOU COULDNT WAIT UNTIL LUNCH?!?!" Mom screams "Who's idea was this?" Taylor asks "Me?" I ask "SERIOUSLY?!" "Mom calm down" I tell her "Calm down?! How can I calm down when my daughter is out God knows where doing things she shouldn't have like sneaking out and skipping school?!" She yells "I" I get cut off "I told you a number of times about my past and the horrible and dangerous things I did when I was younger and you go in and do the same?" She rants "At least I'm not" I stop "What were you gonna say to your mother? Jade, be careful with what you say cause you're gonna regret it sooner or later" Taylor warns "I'm not you Mom" I tell her "I'm not gonna be like how you were" "How do I know your not? How do I know when you're pulling stunts like this?" She asks crying "Ms G, in all due respect, I know your daughter and I know she's not like that, you weren't and aren't like that either. I can promise you that she's not gonna make the same mistakes you did" Matt tells her as he hugs me and Taylor smiles "I'm pretty sure you can trust that she's not gonna be like that babe" He says to Mom "I'm scared" Mom tells me as she hugs all of us "We understand" Nate tells her as we walk out of school
