The gang and I are walking out of school and turn onto East 91st Street "Y'know sometimes I wonder why we go to a private school" Mads wonders "Maybe because our parents made us and they can pay for the hella expensive tuition?" Nate asks "Good point. And honestly I'm glad they convinced the school board to let boys in also" Ryan agrees "Same" Matt agrees "Just asking, do you guys wanna go on an adventure?" I ask "Where are ya going with this?" Emily asks nervously "Can we go to The Bitter End?" I ask "Why another bar?" Mads whines "It's a dive bar and it's where my mom performed as hot discovered. I want to see it. I wanna be there as if I was in her shoes, it's what I wanna do one day and if I'm gonna do it I have to experience it" "Are you sure?" Matt asks "I've been sure. It's what I've wanted to do since I first saw her up on stage singing Just Dance when I was 5. Please can we do this?" I ask "Ok fine. But if we get in trouble I'm blaming you" Ryan points at me "Noted. So let's go. We're going to Grand Central" I yell to them as I cross the street
Time skip..........
We finally get to Grand Central "Can we please get something to eat? We've been walking for like an hour" Ryan says "By the way I am so mad at you! You could've at least called us a taxi!" "It's New York. Taxis are always busy and yeah we can get something to eat" I say as we walk upstairs to the dining concourse
We get there and we see a sign that says 'Artbird' "Oh my grandpa's new restaurant!" I cheer as we walk in and I hug my grandparents "Hey Jade. What are you doing here?" Grandpa laughs "Are you here to buy our cookbook?" "Didn't you already fail on that one during Mom's 'Perfect Illusion' release in London?" I ask "You're granddaughter wants to go to The Bitter End. She made us walk an hour from school to get here" Nate says giving me a dirty look "Let me guess see to prepare for your future?" Grandma laughs coming up to us "You are just like your mother. Stubborn, persistent, grounded, you never give up on your dreams" I smile "That sounds like me" "We'll drive you. But first say hi to your great grandmother" She says as she leads us to a table where Grandma Angelina is "Hi Grandma Angelina" I say "Hi, Jade darling. How are you?" She hugs me "I'm good. How are you?" I ask "Getting around" she laughs "Who are your friends?" "Oh Grandma, this is Nate, Emily, Mads, Ryan and my boyfriend Matt. Guys, this is my Great Grandma Angelina" "Nice to meet you kids" Grandma Angelina says "We have to go Grandma, but we'll see you later. Mom, Taylor and I will stop by" I say "Bye bye honey love you" "Love you too!" I yell as we walk back to Grandpa and Grandma
"How far to Bitter End?" I ask "About 40 minutes. Now come on, I'll call your mom to tell her where you are" Grandpa says as he leads us outside and to his car
Time skip..............
We get The Bitter End "This is it" I breathe "I'll walk in with you guys" Grandpa says as I nod and we open the doors we see a young girl about 16 performing "Amazing right?" Matt asks "That's gonna be me one day" I say "It sure will babe" Matt kisses me "Hey!" Grandpa yells "Sorry" I apologize then laugh
We spend about an hour in there and then head back home
"How was it?" Mom asks when we walk into the apartment "I think they had a blast" Grandpa tells her as Mom smiles "Thanks for taking them Dad" "No problem Stef" "It was amazing Mom. I'm gonna be up there one day" "You sure are. You're gonna be just like me, I'm so happy you're following in my footsteps" I laugh "Same"
We hang out for the rest of the night and watch TV
