My friends and I are standing at our lockers waiting for the bell to ring I look to see a guy staring at Mads "Hey Mads, don't look now but I think you may have a crush" I tell her as she looks "Jake? My lab partner? I doubt it" she shakes her head "You sure? He won't stop staring at you" Ryan tells her "Ry, I'm pretty sure that even the chance of a guy liking me is at a zero percent level" she tells him "Ya never know" Emily tells her as she rolls her eyes and the bell rings "Our cue" Matt whines "See ya guys later, we're going to my house after school right?" I ask "Yup" Nate says as we all go our separate ways
Time skip...........
I'm walking to my English class when Mads grabs me and pulls me aside "Jake likes me" she says "Really? That's amazing" I say "I'm scared though" "Why?" "Well I've never been in a relationship before and I don't think I'll be a good girlfriend" she admits as I hug her "Madison Skye Walker, you're the most creative, and free spirited person I know. You'll be a great girlfriend" "Thanks J" she smiles "No problem. Gotta get to class" "Ok"
After 8 boring hours of school we finally get to leave "So Mads told me today that Jake likes her" I say to the others "Told ya so!" Ryan yells "What are you 5? Stop" Emily laughs "I told him that I wasn't really looking for a relationship at the moment, was that the right thing to say?" Mads asks as Nate shrugs "Maybe? I don't know, I've never had a girlfriend" "I think it is" Matt tells her "Thanks Matt" Mads says as we head to my apartment
Time skip.......
We open the door and Mom and Taylor are sitting on the couch "I got a problem!" Mads yells "What's wrong Mads?" Taylor asks coming over and hugging her "My lab partner, Jake told me he likes me today and I don't know what to do, I'm not really looking for a relationship right now and I honestly don't think I'll be a good girlfriend" Mads rants "You are gonna be a good girlfriend" Taylor tells her "No I'm not, I don't fit in to any categories of what a girlfriend should be" "Mads, a girlfriend doesn't always have to be there to please men's sexual desires, if that is what you're referring to, just by being there for that person and being there for them, That's what truly makes a great girlfriend" Mom tells her "Thanks Gaga" Mads tells her "I told you already, please don't call me Gaga" Mads opens her mouth to speak but I cut her off "Mom, please don't say that, she's gonna end up yelling the lyrics to 'Monster' all over again" "I'm not!" "We all know you were" Nate tells her as she hits him "Ow!" We all clap "Thank you" Mom laughs "Thanks Stefani" Emily smiles "I think Mads needed that" "Can we listen to music?" Matt asks "Highway Unicorn?" I ask as Mads, Emily, Mom and I look at each other and start singing "WE CAN BE STRONG WE CAN BE STRONG OUT ON THIS LONELY ROAD ON THE ROAD TO LOVE WE CAN BE STRONG WE CAN BE STRONG FOLLOW THAT UNICORN ON THE ROAD TO LOVE" We all laugh and then listen to music
