(Y/n's P.O.V)
Draco and I spent the entire morning sitting together in his dorm. As time passed, my stomach started to grumble as I had skipped breakfast that morning and was incredibly hungry. Despite my hunger, Draco refused to leave me alone, constantly pushing me and begging me to stay. Finally, I convinced him to let me go to lunch, and we headed towards the Slytherin table. The table was empty, but the food looked delicious. I filled my plate with a large portion of salad, chips, and chicken. I savoured the flavours and textures as I ate, feeling grateful for the nourishment.
A magical winter wonderland surrounded them. The walls had been enchanted to look like they were made of ice, with icicles hanging from the ceiling and snowflakes floating down from above. A giant Christmas tree was decorated in the corner, adorned with sparkling ornaments and twinkling lights.
After lunch, I craved some fresh air since we had been stuck indoors due to the heavy snow. I led Draco to the frozen lake, which sparkled in the sunlight. We sat on one of the rocks, and I saw the light layer of snow over the forest and fields around us. I slid myself over and sat on his lap. He kissed my forehead but spoke before I could lean in for a kiss.
"Y/n, they have a Christmas banquet on Christmas Eve. Would you like to come?" he asked.
Excitedly, I agreed to go to Malfoy Manor, and we began to pack our bags. I packed my favourite velvety green dress, and Draco wore a blue suit with a green tie. Draco had called ahead to inform his parents that we would be coming. We grabbed our bags on Christmas Eve and headed to the empty train. We joked and laughed as we made our way to Platform 9 3/4. As we got off the train, only one person stood there, and I guessed her to be Mrs. Malfoy.
Draco introduced me to his mother, and she hugged me instead of shaking my hand.
"It's great to meet you, Y/n. Draco never stops talking about you!" she smiled warmly. "Now, let's get home. The party starts in an hour, and you two must get ready."
She flicked her wand, and our bags disappeared. She reached out her hands and held tight to ours as she apparated us away. The pulling, tugging feeling I had learned came with apparition, and I squeezed my eyes closed until my feet were on solid ground again. When I opened my eyes, I was standing at the gates of a grand and luxurious mansion. Draco held my hand as we followed his mother up the path towards the mansion.
As we entered the big dark oak doors, we were greeted by an elf who took our bags. Draco led the way through the grand ballroom, where elves prepared the space. We walked up the stairs to the bedrooms, and he showed me to my room.
"This is my room. You will be in the room right next to mine. The house elves have already set it up for you, and everything you need will be there." Draco opened the door to my room, revealing a large queen-sized bed, shelves of books, a desk, and a closet for my clothes.
I stepped into the room, taking it all in. A gorgeous rug in the middle of the floor led to some steps leading to the raised platform the bed sat upon. There were photos of Draco and me on the walls, and the curtains were a deep emerald green, matching the colour of the dress I had packed. Looking in the closet, I found my clothes already hung up, my trunk sat below them, and my textbooks were on the desk.
I couldn't help but feel amazed at how everything was already set up for me. It was as if they had been expecting me all along.
"I could get used to this!" I sighed in contentment. Draco laughed and left the room to allow me to get ready.
He said he would come to get me when it was time to head down. I closed the door and hung my dress outside on a hook. I sat at the desk and grabbed my hairbrush and makeup. I did a light layer of natural-looking makeup, braided my hair, and then turned it into a tight bun, adding some silver accent clips. I carefully slipped on my dress, then picked out some transparent glass slippers. As I was slipping them on, I heard a knock at the door.
"Come in!" I called, making my way back over to the table to find some jewellery.
