Moon
I was really nervous and I thought it would be awkward as hell or they would act like some cringe ass parents but after twenty minutes, mom and Luna seemed like they were best friends. They were laughing, talking about the decorations and family rituals and stuff. I could see that mom liked her and that really meant a lot to me.
She asked her a few questions to get to know her but she didn't make anything awkward or said something that would make her feel uncomfortable and I really appreciate it.
I watched them both and how they were talking about something funny when my dad put his hand on my shoulder.
"She's really cute and it seems like your mom already likes her." he said and I looked at him. "Really?" I asked and swallowed. I was really nervous about it because this time it was rally meaning the world to me.
I knew it was real.. nothing like the last time. It was really real.. moms happiness was real.
I was so proud of Luna and how she was giving herself. So confident, kind, shy but not disrespectful.
"Really. It seems like you made a really good choice this time. It was a good idea to bring her here." he said and smiled at me. I could see how proud he was and that made me even prouder. I was so excited and still so nervous but with every time Luna made my mom smile that feeling of worry faded and got replaced by warmth and love. I loved watching her..
"I thought you and Moon could do one side of the tree and Sun and Dean could do the other." mom said to Luna and I looked at dad immediately.
He didn't seem as worried about it as me.
I knew that mom was planning this to fix stuff and get us all together and all that emotional stuff but I wasn't sure if these both were ready to meet at the same place yet, only two meters away from each other since I felt like they were two grenades that were causing each other's explosions.
Dad looked at me and smirked softly. I could see that he had good intentions and he was really confident about what he was doing.. even tho I didn't know what he was doing.. or what he has done. I just hoped that he knew what to do and how to handle it all.
Sun
I entered the living room, totally out of breath because mom texted me on the way and told me to hurry but I froze when I saw Luna.
I didn't know what to say for a second. I didn't think that Moon was planning to let her meet the fam but it seemed like it was the perfect timing and I was really happy for him because he decided to take it this far with her. She really deserved it.
I really liked her and I was glad to see her at home. I actually wanted to meet her more often because she was always so kind and so cute.. she never did anything that could disappoint Moon and that mattered the most.
She smiled when she saw me. Her whole face was shining. It was already dark outside and the soft lights in our huge living room made her look even softer in her sweater and the black jeans.
"Hey. I'm so glad to see you here!" I said, walking towards her with a huge, honest smile. I was really happy to see her. I needed every company that I could get to distract myself because every thought of Dean was bringing the dark emptiness back. I didn't want to drown in that emptiness so I had to talk to other people.
"I'm glad to see you too!" she said when I hugged her tightly. She seemed surprised that I was so happy to see her but hugged me back the same way at the end.
