Surprising reunion

While Sam and mom were making dinner ready and setting the table, Dean and I were talking about the pictures that were hanging over our fireplace in frames. Dad was also in the kitchen, talking to mom. They stopped when Moon had to leave and it was obvious that they both enjoyed it. He went up to go to his room and get ready for his 'date' with Skylar, so we were just spending our time to get to know each other even more than we already did.

"Oh, I know this picture!", he said pointing at the one where mom and I were smiling. I was six or seven years old. My hair in two ponytails and my cheeks chubby as hell. "How?", I asked him, totally surprised with raised eyebrows and that's when he struggled.. he just let his head fall back and swallowed.. "You know why.." he said and I froze for a second. I gasped shortly and quietly.

Of course I knew about what his dad has done to him and that he knew everything about me. I felt so bad about it because I had to ask him about it. It was normal that he could recognize and remember some things..

I hugged him, wrapping my arms around his waist that was way too wide for my short arms. Well they weren't that short, but he was just huge. He put his big hands on my back and I smiled.. Unfortunately I had to back off quickly. "Oh, no..", I started holding onto my nose. I still had the bandaid on. It was healing so slowly that it was already annoying. It hurt like ass when I sneezed, or cleaned it in the mornings. He looked at me a little confused. "My nose is running..", I said looking up at him only with my eyes instead of raising my head..

He quickly looked around and grabbed a napkin from the table. He grabbed the back of my head gently and said. "Let your head fall back a little..", I looked at him eyes wide open.. "Ew! No, I don't want you to see that! That's nasty!", I said and I had to smile because for some reason it was funny.

He gave me a death stare and raised a brow. That was enough for me to let my head fall back into his hand.. He cleaned my nose and in that moment I knew that I wanted to marry him as fast as possible.

Ethan

I turned my head around to check on them and my heart dropped to my ass. I almost shit my pants. That was what I was so afraid of.. him replacing me.. he was taking care of her without hesitation.. he was cleaning her nose as if he was her dad.. He wasn't disgusted or let her struggle with it on her own because it hurt so much.. my heart broke into pieces, but at the same time I felt this feeling that I never felt before.. this feeling of trust and relief.. that kind that just made you feel good about something.

I was relieved because I knew she was in good hands.. I was okay with that. I even had to smile and I never thought that it would happen, but as long as he was going to keep going like that he was definitely getting my respect too.

Sun

We joined them at the dinner table as soon as they were done. Moon came in before we sat down. He grabbed a napkin and cleaned a tiny spot on his shoes. He wasn't dressed fancy. He just looked like always, but he seemed a little excited.

"Are you already leaving? Don't leave without eating something. You'll be hungry!", mom said and he threw the napkin away. "No, I'll eat Skylar-.. uh.. I'll eat WITH Skylar..", he said eyes wide open when he fixed his sentence. My jaw dropped. So did moms. I was shocked. He knew he said the wrong thing and whispered "Fuck this..", mom heard it, but she didn't say anything because she was still too shocked.

I covered my mouth with my hand again, but dad and Dean bursted out in laughter at the same time. Moon looked embarrassed while mom was about to get a heart attack. She definitely got to know way too much today. More than she should.
