Todoroki' POV
At 10:30, I went down to the kitchen to get some water. Midoriya had gotten some of those dinosaurs you put in water and we didn’t feel like waiting for the ice to melt. Iida, Uraraka, and Tsu voted that I should be the one to go get the water because we were in my room. I was trying to find a container to put all the dinosaurs in when the Bakusquad, except for Bakugou, walked into the kitchen.
They were whisper-shout-chanting “Waffle time. Waffle time. Waffle time.”
I decided to ignore them and continue to look for a container. I found a mixing bowl that Satou had left in here after washing it. I was about to fill it with water when Ashido pushed me into a chair and put an empty plate in front of me. I wasn’t really concerned. If it came down to it, I could freeze them to the floor and escape. Hopefully, with the water I came down here for.
“Come on, Todoroki, chant with us." Kaminari said.
“I’d rather not. I just came down for water.”
“In a mixing bowl?” Kirishima asked.
     “Yes.”
“Come on, waffle time. Waffle time. Waffle time.” Sero chanted.
“I’m not even hungry.” I said.
“You’re always hungry for waffles." Jirou replied.
     “I’m… really not.”
Then they all started chanting “Waffle time.” again as Ashido made waffles. Every time I tried to stand up, someone would push me back into the chair. The fifth time I tried to leave, Sero taped me to the chair. He also taped a fork and knife to my hands. I’m pretty sure they’re in some sort of waffle cult.

When the waffles were ready, Ashido put a waffle in front of me. Jirou poured syrup on it. I wasn’t hungry, but I also couldn’t escape… I could burn through the tape! If I did that, I risked setting off the fire alarm and melting the fork. This was the Bakusquad, so everyone would suspect Bakugou set off the alarms. Why was no one coming down? I’d been gone for more than 15 minutes.
Slowly, I tried to burn through the tape. My left hand was free! I burned through the tape around my left ankle as I peeled the tape off of my right hand. None of them noticed, they were too engrossed in their waffles. When both hands were free, I removed the tape from my right leg. I jumped up, grabbed the bowl, and ran.
I put a bunch of ice in the bowl and melted it as I ran up the stairs. I didn’t hear any chanting, but I didn’t stop until I got to my room. I ran in and locked the door behind me. Everyone looked up from the board game they were playing.
“The Bakusquad tried to induct me into some sort of waffle cult.” I said. “Here’s the water. I melted it on the stairs on the way up.”
“We were wondering what took so long." Uraraka said. “A waffle cult?”
They would never believe me. “Actually, I had to go borrow a mixing bowl from Satou.”
“That makes more sense, ribbit.” Tsu said.
