Bakugou's POV
Eijirou and I got kicked out of our house when our landlord lied about paying taxes on it. Now, we lived a cramped, one-bedroom apartment. We got a bunk-bed because not even one full sized bed would fit. As for the rest of our apartment… it was just as compact. This apartment was the only one that we could afford, though.
I still had nightmares, but now Eijirou knew about them. I hadn’t told him what the dreams were about though. I didn’t sleep much anymore, and he was trying to make me go see a sleep therapist.
“Katsuki, it’s almost midnight.” Eijirou said from the bunk above me. “Stop tearing pages out of that notebook and setting them on fire.”
“I’m not setting anything on fire.” I said as I pulled another page out and set it on fire.
     “I can smell it burning.”
“Fine." I said, throwing the notebook across the room. “Happy now.”
“I would be happy if you went to sleep.”
I sighed. I tried to fight sleep, but eventually it overtook me.

Everyone was sitting in the common room. Everyone except for Deku, who had disappeared earlier in the day. No one knew where he went, not even Round Face, Glasses, and Icy Hot. It was almost time for curfew. The only time he’d ever broken curfew was my fault.
Mr. Aizawa told us to go to our rooms with no mention of Deku. I don’t know if anyone stayed to ask where he was and I didn’t really care. I went to my room for the first time since that morning and let out a cry of surprise. Deku was sitting at my desk, covered in blood.
“Help." He said in a small voice.
     “What’s wrong?” Kirishima asked.
     “N-nothing.” I said.
I went into my room and locked the door. The window was open and there was blood on the seal. Deku was wearing his hero costume. There weren’t any rips in it… the blood wasn’t his.
“Who’s blood is that?” I whispered.
     He didn’t say anything.
     “What happened?”
     He still didn’t reply.
“Why did you come to my room? Why didn’t you go to one of the teachers?”
     Nothing.
“How long have you been here?”
     He held up five fingers.
     “Five minutes?”
     He shook his head ‘no.’
     “Hours?”
     He nodded.
“I’m going to get Mr. Aizawa.” I said
     “NO!” Deku shouted.
“Shh,” I hissed. “Kirishima and Shouji will hear you. Tell me what happened, or I’m getting Mr. Aizawa. Why are you covered in blood?”
     “I… think I killed someone.”
     “What? How?”
Deku shook his head again. “Help.”
I was losing patients. “If you’re not going to tell me what happened, go wash all the blood off.”
Deku stood up. The chair was covered in blood. I just noticed that there were bloody footprints on the floor. What did he do to the person? I would have to wash the blood off. I could be an accomplice.
“I don’t know what you did, but you need to leave. You can’t be seen in my room. I’ll get arrested for being an accomplice.” I said. I grabbed a towel I had left in here and started scrubbing the chair.
Deku hadn’t moved from where he stood up. “What?”
“I said leave! Get out! I’m not getting arrested. Go tell Mr. Aizawa or something.”
“I... I can’t." Deku was about to cry.
“Stop!” I shouted at him. “Stop getting DNA everywhere!”
Someone knocked on the door. “Hey, Bakugou? Is everything okay?” Kirishima asked.
“Y-yeah... just... go away.” I said.
     “What’s going on?”
     “Nothing.” I said.
I walked to the door where Kirishima was now jiggling the handle. I unlocked the door and opened it enough to talk to him.
“Why are you holding a bloody towel?” Kirishima asked.
“I’m not." I said, throwing the towel over my shoulder.
“Kacchan?” Deku asked. I shushed him.
“Was that Midoriya?” Kirishima asked, trying to look around me.
“No." I said, slamming the door. I turned to Deku. “Back out the window. Now.”
     “I can’t.” Deku said.
“Why?” I asked as Deku punched me in the face.
I fell to the floor. Deku got on top of me and started to punch me. I shoved him off with an explosion. He tried to kick me but I dodged and grabbed his leg.
“KIRISHIMA!” I shouted. I kicked Deku’s other leg out from under him.
“What?” He asked. Deku was trying to stand up, but I was still holding one of his ankles.
“Get Mr. Aizawa!” Deku kicked at me with his free leg. He connected with my hand. I almost let go of his ankle.
“Why?” Deku kicked again, missing this time.
“Just do it. NOW!” I threw a fireball at Deku.
I tried to pin Deku to the floor until Mr. Aizawa got here, but he kept kicking at me. Because of One For All, I couldn’t catch his other leg. I was trying to catch his leg and let my guard down about dodging his attacks. He kicked my legs out from under me and I fell hard.
Deku lunged. I threw a fireball at him. It grazed his arm. Not enough to stop him, but it slowed him down. I wish Kirishima would hurry. Deku had stood up and put one of his feet on my chest. Usually this wasn’t very effective, but I couldn’t breathe. I threw a fireball at him, but it was no use.
I was gasping for breath when Kirishima came back with Mr. Aizawa, who had to break the door to get it opened. Mr. Aizawa erased Deku’s quirk and I could breathe again. I grabbed Deku’s leg and shoved him off of me. I jumped to my feet, ready to attack if necessary.
“What’s going on?” Mr. Aizawa said.
“He attacked me.” I said, moving back to stand with Mr. Aizawa and Kirishima.
“Bakugou, Kirishima, you are both witnesses to something. Bakugou, your room is a crime scene. You didn’t touch anything, did you?”
“I tried to wipe blood off the chair." I said. “I didn’t want to be an accomplice. I told him to leave.”
Mr. Aizawa blinked and Deku ran to the window. Deku jumped out of the window. Mr. Aizawa put his arms out to stop me and Kirishima from running forward.
“This is a matter for the police now. Don’t go to sleep, Kirishima. Both of you need to stay awake until the police get here.”
