~Older Todoroki’s POV~
“Hey guys, look at this yearbook I found!” Ashido said.
Those of us that were in the common room gathered around to see what she was talking about. She was holding up a yearbook from my old middle school. My eyes widened as I saw the year. It was my first year there, and I had… made some poor decisions with my appearance.
I tried to grab the yearbook out of her hands, but the back of the chair she was sitting in stopped me. The Bakusquad laughed, only feeding the fire that Ashido should open the yearbook.
“Half and half is obviously trying to hide something.” Bakugou said.
“Come on, Kacchan, what if it was a yearbook from our school?” Midoriya asked.
Bakugou snorted. “I’d show everyone myself. Show them how much better I look than you.”
“Kacchan,” Midoriya started before I interrupted him.
“Just get it over with.” I sighed. There was no talking them out of it.
Ashido found the page with my face on it and gasped. Most of the Bakusquad had similar reactions. Bakugou laughed. Midoriya started crying and the rest of the Dekusquad just stared at me.

~Younger Todoroki’s POV~
I started middle school tomorrow. I would have to start middle school with burn marks all over my arms. The water from the shower made them sting, but I was covered in soot. I had to wash the white side of my hair several times before it was white again.
After I got dressed, I could see what my mom hated about my appearance. It looked too much like him. I rummaged in the cabinets until I found what I was looking for, an electric razor. Then I shaved all the red hair off. The only thing that still looked like my dad was the color of my left eye. There was nothing I could do about that, though.
I knew my dad wouldn’t be happy with what I did to my hair, so I grabbed a towel and draped it over my head. I couldn’t figure out how Fuyumi did the towel hat thing. I went to my room and tried to find a hat to wear out of the house tomorrow. I found an All Might hat that I’d bought online with my dad’s credit card. He wouldn’t be happy with the hat, but at least he wouldn’t see my hair.
The next morning, Fuyumi walked me and Natsuo to (different) schools.
“Shouto, you know you can’t wear that hat in the building, right?” She asked.
     “Yeah." I said.
     “Okay, just checking.”
“By the way, don’t let Dad know we’re walking with you. He’d kill us if we were late to our own schools.” Natsuo said. “Why are you wearing a hat, little brother?”
I took a deep breath. “Promise not to tell Dad?”
“I promise.” My siblings said at the same time.
I took off the All Might hat off to show them my self-inflicted hair cut. Fuyumi gasped and Natsuo stared at me.
“When we get home, I’m going to fix your hair.” Fuyumi said. “For now…” She trailed off.
“I know why you did it, but…” Natsuo trailed off as well.
“Now I don’t look like Dad.” I said.

~Older Todoroki’s POV~
“I didn’t want to look like my dad.” I said. I grabbed the yearbook out of Ashido’s hands while everyone was still in shock. “No one told me it was my eyes, so I assumed it was my hair color.”
No one said anything. I lit the yearbook on fire and burned it. Then I put the fire out, threw the yearbook, now encased in ice, in the trash, and went to my room.
A few minutes later, someone knocked on the door. I opened the door to see the rest of the Dekusquad holding middle school yearbooks. I let them and we made fun of our middle school appearances until it was time for curfew.
