"THE FLOOR IS LAVA!" Clint shouted, hanging from the vents.
Natasha does a backflip and lands on the couch. She puts her feet on the table and turns on the TV.
"The floor is not lava, Hawk." Thor said. "How do I participate in these festivities if I am not standing in the lava?"
No one answerd because they were all scrambleing to get off the floor. Steve is just as confused. He looks at Thor and they shrug at each other, thoroughly puzzled.
Bruce climbes onto the coffee table and tentatively takes a sip of his tea. He holds a book in the other hand and acts as if the events of the moment are perfectly normal.
Tony calls his suit. As it forms around him, he flies up to the cealing and pulls clint off of his perch in the vents. Clint screams as he falls into the 'lava'. Clint then jumps up onto Steve who, apparently, is now part of the furnature since he hasn't moved since the game started.
Coulson walks out of the elevator. He looks around for a moment before jumping onto a rug, the couch, the coffee table, and then to Steve. He gives Tony a manilla folder and does the whole thing backwards without looking. Then, he calmly goes back to the elevator and leaves.
Pepper comes in and a walkway appears because everyone knows that if a walkway didn't appear, Pepper would scold the lava and it would feel so bad it would leave a lava cake for her the next day. A running joke was that lava played the floor is Pepper and that was why a walkway would always appear.
"Tony, you're going to be late for another gala. You have to go, people are starting to talk about the thing I discussed with you earlier." Then she left, her heels clicking.
No one knew what the thing was and no one dared to ask. Ideas in the Avenger's Complex ranged from a wedding to they were secretely married already and were now getting a divorce. A crazy one nobody told Peter about was that some people thought that Ironman had an affair with Black Widow 17 years ago and now he was tired of paying child support so Spider-man was now an Avenger but still didn't know who his true father was.
After Pepper left, Bucky body slams Steve (and Clint) onto the rug before climbing onto the couch because even brainwashed assassians know not to touch the ground when the floor is lava.
Sam is hovering near the cealing. He had his wings on when Clint had started the game so Sam had popped them out and was chilling.
T'Challa was hanging from the cealing by his claws because of something Shuri did. He wasn't exactly sure what it was, but he did know that if he asked her to remove it, she would add something worse. So, at this point, his fate was sealed.
Nobody had really payed Peter much attention until he shot a web across the room into the kitchen to grab a cookie. He was in a web hammock in the corner of the room. He had his earbuds in and the look on his face said this was his idea, not Clint's.
