224 words. So, in English today, I had to write about a character in the wrong story. I put The Maze Runner characters into The Hunger Games. The words that I had to use are underlined. I hope you enjoy!
After the stock market crashed, the Capitol took back over. It had been several years, but there was going to be a 77th Hunger Games.
With the new technology, the ensemble of tributes were sent to Venus. The male tribute from District 12 was the great-grandson of Katniss Mellark. His name was Thomas.
His great-grandmother had taught him the Mockingjay salute before the Capitol killed her. Thomas was very smart but was average at the skills needed for The Hunger Games.
Thomas saved a twelve-year-old named Chuck from a killer panda. They decided to form an alliance.
The female from District 12, Teresa, shot one of Thomas’s other allies, Newt, in the knee. Minho, the third ally, used some tangy language as he tried to kill Teresa.
For the final boss, the big bad, the last level, the quartet had to escape Venus and get back to Earth before they ran out of oxygen.
The serial killer, Ava Paige, tried to prevent the group from escaping. Most of the tributes escaped, but Chuck was killed by another tribute before they got to Ava Paige. Newt was killed by Thomas.
Newt knew that with his knee, and how the Capitol treated the Victors, he needed to die.
“Please, Tommy. Please.” Newt begged Thomas.
Thomas shot his best friend from the Games.
