Chapter 49

I opened my eyes and looked beside me. I noticed Adam still sleeping. I grabbed my phone and checked the time it's 9:30. I get out of bed making sure not to wake Adam and go to feed my birds. I looked around for Poppy and saw her asleep next to Crypta. I filled up her food bowl then went to lay back down on my bed. I played with Adam's hair until he woke up. He looked at me and smiled.

"Hi." I said.

"Good morning." He said. "How did you sleep?"

"Great." I answered.

"Me too." He said sitting up. "Come here."

"What?" I asked sitting up.

"Sit on my lap." He said.

"Okay." I said crawling towards him and sat on his lap facing him.

He looked at me and smiled as I smiled back. I looked over at Crypta to see if she was still asleep then looked back at Adam. He looked like he wanted to tell me something.

"What do you have to tell me?" I asked.

"Nothing." He replied. "It's just I want to kiss you but I feel like Brian or Anita is gonna walk in and-."

Before he could finish what he was saying I smashed my lips onto his. He put his hand on my cheek and kissed back. I could hear someone coming so we separated and looked at each other.

"What are you two doing?" Brian asked.

"Nothing." Adam said as I giggled.

"Anita is making pancakes if you two want some." Brian said.

"When you say pancakes do you mean like actual pancakes or English muffins covered in maple syrup?" I asked.

"I mean actual pancakes." Brian replied.

"Okay we'll be down in a minute." I said.

Brian nodded and walked out of my room.

"Let's go." Adam said.

"You go ahead I have to wake up Crypta." I said.

"You have to get off of me first." Adam said.

"Oh right." I said as I got off of him and crawled over to my phone and checked the time.

"I'll see you in a minute." Adam said getting up. "Oof."

"What's wrong?" I asked putting my phone down.

"Nothing my foot is asleep I'm fine." He said then walked out of my room.

I giggled then got out of bed and went to wake up Crypta.

"Crypta Anita is making pancakes." I said.

"Ooo yummy." Crypta said getting up.

"Were you awake this whole time?" I asked.

"Yup I was just pretending to be asleep." Crypta said.

"Did you see anything?" I asked.

"No not really." She said.

"Good." I said.

"Just you and Adam kissing." She said as she ran out of my room.

"Crypta!" I said running after her.

I ran downstairs and into the kitchen. I noticed Adam and Crypta are already sitting at the table.

"I saved you a spot beside Adam." Crypta said.

"Thanks." I said sitting down. 

Anita gave us our pancakes and we started eating.

"Roger called." Brian said. "He said he found an abandoned school."
