Chapter 75

I woke up and looked around. The room was dark but the sun was coming through the window. I knew I was in my room but something felt different. I sat up and my head started throbbing. I grabbed my phone and tried to turn it on but it was dead. I plugged it up and laid back down. Adam walked in turned on the lights and looked shocked when he saw me.

“You’re awake.” Adam said. “You’re finally awake I’ve missed you so much.” 

“I missed you too?” I said sitting up. “My head is throbbing what happened?”

“Babe don’t get up.” He said as I laid back down. “Brian, Anita come quick!”

“Adam what happened?!” I said.

Brian and Anita walked in and ran to me when they saw I was awake. 

“You’re awake!” Anita said. 

“We was starting to think you was never gonna wake up.” Brian said. 

“Crypta get in here!” Anita said. 

Crypta ran in and saw me she looked older and a little taller. 

“Oh my gosh Jackie you’re awake!” She said jumping onto my bed. 

“Can somebody tell me what’s going on!” I exclaimed. 

“Do you remember anything?” Adam asked. 

“I remember being pregnant.” I said. “Then I remember waking up in the hospital and that’s all, why what happened? Am I still pregnant?”

“Well no you’re not pregnant.” Brian said. 

“Oh okay.” I said. 

“What year is it?” Brian asked. 

“Brian don’t ask her that yet.” Anita said. 

“Yeah you don’t want to scare her!” Crypta exclaimed. 

“Scare me? Yeah there’s no way you can scare me.” I said sitting up. 

“Don’t get up!” They all said. 

“I don't want to stay in bed.” I said as my phone buzzed. 

I went to grab my phone when Adam grabbed it and hid it behind him. 

“Hey give me my phone.” I said. 

“I can’t.” Adam said. “You’ll see it.”

“See what?” I asked. 

“Do you know what day it is?” Anita asked. 

“I would if I had my phone.” I said. 

“Do you remember what day it was when you woke up at the hospital?” Adam asked. 

“Wednesday.” I said. “It was Wednesday no Monday yeah it was Monday July 9th so today is Tuesday July 10th.”

“It’s May 1st.” Crypta said. 

“Crypta!” Anita and Brian said. 

"Oh sorry." Crypta said.

“May 1st?!” I said. “That means tomorrow is my birthday I’m turning 20.” 

“No you’re not.” Brian said. 

“You’re turning 22.” Adam said. “The year is 2020.”

“No.” I said. “It can’t be.”

“It’s true.” Brian said. 

“Yeah” Anita nodded. 

Adam handed me my phone and I looked at the date they were telling me the truth.
