*Still Melodic Mood's POV*

I had already done more driving that I was comfortable with today, and I know I had an hour to get Shining ready and to the court house.

I sighed after I parked.

I didn't have any time to waste, so I ran straight to the dorms. Outside of Shining's dorm was Lightspeed and Mimic.

"Is she still in there?"

"Yes. She locked herself in." Mimic answered with a groan.

"Why is she here?" I asked Lightspeed while I waved my hand towards Mimic.

"She asked for my help because Shining was asking for you." Mimic responded.

"Please tell me you didn't do what I'm thinking." I pinched the bridge of my nose.

They remained quiet, so I pulled out my keys and unlocked the door.

"Wait, are they really dating?" Mimic whispered to Lightspeed.

"What?" I quickly responded. "What are..."

"No. They're not dating." Lightspeed cut me off as if it were a sensitive subject.

I shook my head to rid myself of the thought for now. I had to focus on what's going on.

As soon as I opened the door, a trophy was thrown and barely caught it before it crashed against the wall.

I walked into the room and carefully closed the door before setting the trophy on her desk. I caught sight of the partially eaten bowl of oatmeal

"Hello to you too." I wearily smiled at her.

Shining just scowled at me like I had wronged her.

"Shining?" I could tell she was still reading my lips.

I took a step closer to her, and she grabbed a hold of my shirt.

"Stop playing with me, Mimic."

"I'm not Mimic."

She mumbled something in French before she tightened her grip on my shirt and pulled me closer to her.

I felt my entire being freeze as she clashed her lips against mine. My heart began to race after a few seconds, and I carefully pulled her hand away from my shirt. When I did, she pulled away from me and sat down on her bed.

Her face was tense like she was irritated, but her eyes were closed.

Before I could tell if she opened her eyes, I opened her wardrobe and began to go through her clothes. I knew my face was probably glowing a bright red right now, and I couldn't have her see that right now, or she'd never get dressed.

"Merde." I heard her mumble from behind me. "Elle était la vraie."

I quickly handed her a pair of black dress pants and a white dress shirt to go with it. I assumed she began to get dressed as I looked between a tan cardigan and a soft grey one.

I didn't think twice before I turned around to find Shining facing her bed, not wearing her shirt. I quickly turned back around, but not before seeing a decent sized scar going from her left shoulder to her mid back. It appeared to be an old scar like it was from childhood or something.

'What could have caused that scar?'

After another minute, I turned and handed her the tan cardigan.

"We have to go somewhere." I was so glad she couldn't hear my voice crack.

She nodded her head and began to follow me down the halls and to my car.
