"Ok ladies and gentlemen, it looks like that is all that is left for today's show." The anchor smiled at the camera as if this was a daily event.
"And we're off." Someone yelled from the back.
"What was that?" Hydron instantly shot up from his chair and over to me.
I stood up before he kicked my chair.
In the corner of my eye I saw Mood and Claire get defensive. I raised my hand to stop them.
It seems like he forgot about the reporters taking pictures of everything going on, and I wasn't about to have Mood and Claire get involved in this.
"What happened to your apology?" He yelled causing spit to fly towards me.
I wiped my face as I tried not to cringe at what happened.
"I apologize for punching you as I was told." I locked eyes with him and stood my ground.
"You made me look bad."
"You do that all on your own."
How I managed to keep my cool right now I have no idea. If I had my way I would have punched him again already.
I glanced down at his hands and saw they were already balled into fists.
"I suggest you walk away pretty boy." I barely spoke above a whisper. "Before you make yourself look worse."
He held his hand out to me and laughed as if it were a joke the whole time.
"Have a nice day, I apologize for the misunderstanding." He spoke loud enough for everyone to hear after he quit laughing.
I quickly shook his hand and noticed he slightly winced from the heat radiating off my hand.
"Have a nice day as well." I shouted as he stormed off holding his hand.
I waved to the reporters and smiled before I went backstage to meet my friends.
"Did I mess that up?" I asked as soon as I got over to them.
Mood handed me my jacket and I quickly put it on.
"It went better than I thought it would." Mood looked surprised. "I mean you didn't set anything on fire."
"I think we should go get something to eat to celebrate." Claire suggested. "You know I think we can use a meal that has some flavor."
I noticed that almost everyone in the room had dispersed when I peaked onto the stage.
"Or if we run to the store I can cook something?" I suggested as I began to head towards the exit.
"Oh. Yes!" Claire exclaimed over excitedly.
Claire jumped onto my back after I turned away from them. Immediately afterwards there was a flash from a camera but I couldn't find the source. Neither of them reacted to it so I shrugged it off.
While carrying Claire I pulled out my phone I sent a message to the director.
'Miss director would I be allowed to use the kitchen to cook something?'
I put my phone in my pocket for thirty seconds when it buzzed again.
'What are wanting to cook?'
'Pasta. I wanted to cook dinner for my friends and myself to relax after that interview.'
'I'll let the cooks know to be expecting you.'
I was honestly surprised it was that easy.
'One condition bring me some.'
Claire started to laugh and jumped off my back.
"I didn't know you were close with the director." She said while still laughing.
"I honestly dont know why, but she has been doing random meet ups and checks in on me."
We got to ghe store closest to the school and Claire was immediately walking away from Mood and myself.
I grabbed a basket and began to walk around the store collecting the ingredients, such as garlic and parmesan cheese.
"Hey Mood?" I asked while staring at the various noodles.
"Yes?"
"Ummm. I dont know what you like food wise. I only ever see you eat what they serve at the cafeteria. Well minus that night at the hotel, but I dont remember what you ate." I rambled as I grabbed a box of fettuccine. "What I'm trying to say is you should pick something to serve with it. I'll pay for it."
"You dont..."
"I insist, I'd be fine with you not liking my food but I'd hate for you to not have something to eat." I quickly said cutting her off.
'You should bring your friends with you and come eat with me. You didn't tell me about you making friends while you trained.'
'I'll have to ask them what they think about that.' I quickly texted back.
"The director wants me to bring you guys with me when I take her food." I put my phone into my pocket and looked over at her. "She also suggested that we eat with her."
"I need to talk to her anyway." She said as we walked towards the chicken.
"We dont have to stay and eat, just bringing her food is a part of a deal to use the kitchen in the cafeteria." I said as I picked out a pack of boneless chicken. "I'm serious about you picking out something to eat."
"What do most people get with what you're making?" She asked while appearing to try and decide what to get.
"My mom would always make a salad and buy some rolls. Especially if we had guests over." I smiled at the memories. "She taught me the recipe for this."
"Let's do that." She smiled wide.
She picked out a few vegetables and some lettuce and spinach for her salad.
"I think we are good to go." I said looking into the very full basket.
Claire ran over to us handing us a couple of small food containers before we checked out.
"F... for an extra d... dollar. Would you like a cloth bag?" The cashier asked fumbling over their words.
I could tell they were nervous, but I'm not entirely sure why.
"Yes please." I smiled at them as I handed them my card.
Before long we were back at the school and cooking in the kitchen.
"Hey Lightspeed, can you grab me the fettuccine, milk, and chicken broth?" I asked as I stirred the butter and garlic.
While Claire grabbed the ingredients I needed I looked over at Mood who switched from washing the vegetables to cutting them.
