Chapter 77

*POV change to Shining dragon*

I dont know how long I had been asleep, but I was thankful that Mood stayed with me.

After while I got up and Claire gave me food, but I couldn't keep it down very long.

Shortly after I ended up falling back asleep and when I woke up I found myself in the car leaning against Mood.

Once we got back to the base Claire and Steel ran off to where ever they had to be while Mood began to guide me towards medical.

"You two in here now." A deep voice said from behind us and it didn't sound too happy.

Mood slightly tensed up before responding. "Yes sir."

When we turned around there was a tall older man with a terrifying scar over his right eye going past his hair line and a milk white eye I thought was glaring into my soul.

I silently followed Mood into the room where the man looked between the both of us.

"Tell me what exactly did you do?" The man growled with his attention aimed at Mood.

"Sir I couldn't..."

"Dont make me repeated myself." He warned and I swear he suddenly got stronger, like his muscles literally grew five times bigger.

"I disobeyed orders sir." Mood said while looking the man in the eyes.

I could tell she wasn't scared of him, but she didn't exactly seem comfortable around him.

"That's exactly what you did." He said while glaring at Mood. "To think we thought you were ready to interact with people your own age, but all it's done it make you  insubordinate. Especially this one and her friends."

He pointed over at me and I wasnt sure if I was supposed to be offended or not, but I was getting irritated with how he was treating mood.

"You are supposed to keep an eye on her and keep her stable." He was talking about me like I wasnt even here now. "She is your mission, not your friend."

I may have also been irritated because I was aching and hungry, but this man was pushing all the buttons and I was trying to keep my irritation from bubbling over.

"You were told to stay out of it!" This man suddenly started yelling at Mood. "Yet what did you do? You ran in there and did exactly what you were told not to!"

She was just standing there taking it like she didn't matter.

"Because of your and your friends..." His voice sounded like it was laced with venom as he scolded her. "The under cover operative we had in that base lost their cover. Their entire mission has be set back in if not ruined because of you!"

"I've had enough of this bullshit." I accidentally said out loud.

"Excuse me?" The man actually turned his full attention to me.

"Shining dont." Mood muttered in a hushed tone.

It was too late to stop the words I had to say.

"You keep blaming all this shit on her, but from my understanding she's just following through on the mission you gave her."

"Shining stop." Mood warned.

Normally I would listened to her but this guy pushed me over the edge.

"Sorry but no, while I was continuously almost dying or getting beat daily your operatives either just sitting by watching or joining in. I almost died and I'm sure your informant told you I was there." I could feel tears burning my eyes as I continued. "I know for a fact she was the only person willing to help me, while you sat on your..."
