I was surprised with how gentle her touch was as she cleaned and applied a bandage to my forehead.

I dont know if it was because of everything going on or because of the adrenaline rush dying down, but I was growing tired.

"That should be good." She stopped and stared into my eyes. "How are you feeling right now?"

Does she mean physically or mentally?

I broke eye contact with her and looked down at my hands. It's a bad habit, but I started picking at my finger.

She slowly stood up and sat next to me. "Does your head hurt?"

I slowly raised my head and looked at her. I wanted to scream, cry, and maybe punch a wall or two but at the same time I just wanted to disappear.

"Yeah a bit." I mumbled.

She seemed to have a slightly concerned look to her, so I quickly turned away. Tears started to fill my eyes.

"I'm going to go for a walk." I quickly stood up, but was pulled back down.

"Come little children I'll take the away into a land of enchantment." She began to softly sing. "Come little children the times come to play, here in my garden of shadows."

I slowly began to feel calmer. I wanted to fight it at first but I honestly wanted everything to be ok. Even if it might not be permanent.

"Follow sweet children I'll showthee the way. Through all the pain and sorrows." She gave me a soft smile before she let go of my arm. "Weep not poor children for life is this way, murdering beauty and passion. Hush now dear children for it must be this way to weary of life and deception."

I let out a soft sigh before a few tears rolled down my cheeks.

"I know this must be a lot to take in right now, but things will get better once you adjust."

I suddenly felt the urge to throw up so I rushed to the bathroom. I ended up puking a bit before she appeared in the door way.

"So I'm fairly certain you have a mild concussion." She walked over to me and put my hair up. "I'll grab you some water and pain killers."

She wasn't gone long when she came back with a bottle and a small foil packet with 2 capsules.

"As soon as we get the all clear I'll take you back to base and we can go to medical."

I slowly reached up and flashed the toilet.

"You're a good friend." I said as I adjusted to sitting next to the toilet.

For a split second she looked thrown off but quickly adjusted to a kind smile.

"When you are feeling up to it I suggest you get some rest." She stated as she handed over the bottle and the capsules.

"Can we get something to eat?"

I quickly swallowed the capsules with a gulp of water before looking back at her.

"Will you be able to keep food down yet?" She asked while glancing at the toilet.

"I dont know, but I need to eat something either way."

I didnt actually want to say it was because I was just throwing up stomach acid and it burned.

She nodded her head in agreement before leaning against the sink.

"Well I'll see what I can get. There's only alcohol and water in the mini fridge."

She glanced at me again before she stopped leaning against the sink and left the bathroom.

I remained sitting there and I began to hear her talking on the phone.

"Sir I'm not exactly sure who it is yet, but I've narrowed it down the one of the yellow or orange levels."

She was quiet for a while before she sighed.

"Sir, I understand but it's not safe for..." She must have been cut off. "Yes sir."

I waited a few minutes to make sure she was no longer on the phone.

"Hey Mood," I spoke up. "Is everything ok?"

She stepped into sight and looked shocked that I heard her.

"No, but I'll work it out." She smiled as if she gave me good news.

"Is there anything I can do?" I asked as I scooted away from the toilet.

"Right now let's just worry about getting you off this floor." She reached out to help me up.

I accepted her offer and she pulled me to my feet. The speed of getting up so fast caused me to get lightheaded and almost fall over. Thankfully Melodic mood caught me before I could actually fall.

"Maybe we shouldn't have you live so fast." She said with a slight laugh.

As I adjusted to standing I carefully moved away and looked up at her.

I ended up locking eyes with her storm grey eyes and I could have sworn my heart stopped until she turned away.

'Oh shit...'

"I'll get room service to bring something to eat then you can get some rest."
