"Shining!" Claire yelled before she sped next to me. "Sorry about yesterday."

I was honestly a bit surprised that the halls were so empty on the way to check in. Let alone that Claire was the only person I had seen in the past ten minutes.

"Which part letting me sleep all day or taking my mask and making me embarrass myself infront of Mood?" I asked while I tried to act upset.

"Did I say yesterday? I meant today, but you'll thank me later."

For a split second I was confused, until suddenly I felt myself being pushed and I didnt have a chance to try and catch myself. I take it she had planned this out because Mood caught me as I entered the room.

She had one hand on my side and the other on my shoulder as she helped me regain my balance.

"Nice of you to drop by." Someone guy yelled before everyone in the room started laughing.

"Babe, you should watch your step more." Claire smirked as Mood let me go.

I grabbed a hold of the collar of her shirt when she went to walk away.

"If you want to play this way we can. Just know..."

"Come on you two we have line up." Mood groaned as she began to walk away.

I quietly walked over to Steel and a girl with short black hair. I assumed she had to be Mimic.

"Ok recruits." An older man I didn't recognize stood infront of us. "Normaly we'd have your tasks displayed with your teams, but today we are adding a few new tasks for field days. "Group Melodic mood; you will be on missing person search." The team nodded before filing off to their respective hero for the night. "Group Steel; you guys will be on fire patrol. When you meet up with Hydron he is to train you how to use the new gear before you head out."

I followed Steel to where Hydron was waiting for us. He quickly explained that our job was to keep an eye on and put out fires.

"Yeah that's smart put the person who shoots fire from her hands to the group that is putting out fire." Steel mumbled to the girl.

"She can control fire so that should help right?" Mimic asked as if she were talking to him but loud enough for all of us to hear.

I sighed and decided to ignore their conversation and watched as Hydron filled a backpack for all of us.

"Ok this is important." He held up a weird small black box. "This is a specialized respirator. It will intake the smoke fumes and turn them into breathable air when you put this end," he showed us the side that looked like a mouth piece, "in your mouth and inhale."

He quickly passed out one to each of us.

"From my understanding Flaming dragon..."

"Shining dragon." I corrected while he handed us each a box.

"Whatever. From my understanding they used the information gathered from your tests to figure out how these might work and tonight we are set to test them."

"Why do they each have a number on them?" I asked as I realized mine had a four in yellow on the side.

"Each one is modified differently these are all test runs."

"And if they dont work?" Mimic asked as she put hers in her pocket.

"That's why Shining dragon," he said my name in a mocking tone, "is here she doesnt need these. I knew what I was assigned that's why I chose her."

He acted like he was some sort of genius and I wasn't in the mood for his stupidity tonight.

"Ok, everyone have their bag let's head out." Hydron said in an overly excited tone.

*POV change to Melodic mood*

"Who are we searching for?" Claire asked Blind spot.

"A few days ago we lost contact with one of our undercover agents. They were giving us intel about the group of villains leading the riot groups." Blind spot answered. "We are going to be heading to their last known location and find the middle man and check in. You guys are just here for back up."

"Who are we looking for?" I asked as I pulled out my phone to look for any recent report about a missing agent.

"I'm not allowed to say any name kid." Blind spot sighed as he tapped a finger against his temple. "You already know why."

I huffed at the fact he called me a kid.

"How is this a missing person search?" Golem groaned and leaning against the door way.

"Because it is." Blind spot responded before pushing Gole out the doorway.

Blind spot didn't seem to care a whole lot about entertaining Golem as we walked over to the cars.

"Spark I know you go to The Mask quite a bit. Can you drive?" He asked as he held out a key ring with two keys on it.

"Yeah..." They seemed shocked that he knew about them going there.

"Great you're driving." Blind spot forced the keys onto their hand.

He guided us to a black van and motioned to it.

"Pick up your toys and comeone kids." He climbed into the passenger seat.

I'm sure I was scowling that he called me a kid again. I know he can tell how irritating it is.

"Can he not drive?" Spark asked sounding confused.

Everyone else in the group also looked confused about what was going on.

"He can it just wouldn't be the best idea." I stated and I suddenly realized none of then actually knew who he was. "He's blind."

"So we are being guided by a man who literally cant see to find someone." Golem stated in his usual snarky tone.

"His power literally tells him where everyone is and gives him a basic medical read on everyone." I said as I grabbed the handle to the sliding door to the van. "Literally if you need help finding someone, he is the best person to ask. So behave and be respectful."

"Be have and be respectful." Golem mocked as I opened the door for everyone to get in.

"Golem I mean it." I warned him as Claire and Annelids climbed in.

"Its already bad enough we got worm girl on our team. Why dont you stop giving orders and let me lead." He crossed his arms as if it was a warning.

"How about you get in van and follow orders?" I motioned for him to get in. "I am not going to pass off my job to please you."

He looked like he was about to protest getting in the van until I agreed.

"Hey out there hurry up and get in or I'm making Spark leave with out you." Blind spot shouted.

Without another word I got in the van myself. I have to admit I was surprised Golem actually got it the van as well.
