Shining Heroes

Chapter 89

The remainder of the day was mostly just Mood and I watching movies while my hangover passed. Then before we knew it it was after four and Mood got called into work for something.

So I decided I should head to the store and get somethings I still needed since I have time for now.

*POV change to Melodic mood*

"Melodic mood?"

I turned around to see the young girl Shining saved the other night standing a few feet behind me. She seemed extremely nervous for some reason. Also her newly acquired lion was no where in sight; which was probably for the best since this area was extremely crowded right now.

"Yes?"

I looked over her studying her outfit choice and it looked like she was attempting to dress like Shining.

"Umm... Do you know where I can find Shining Dragon?" She asked softly.

"I dont know where she is at the moment why?"

"A lady told me to give her this." She said nervously.

Then she pulled out a white envelope that was labeled 'Elizabeth' across the front of it. 

"I can take it for you." I said while holding my hand out.

Just the fact Shining's real name was on this couldn't be a good thing.

"No, the lady said I had to give it to her."

Something tells me this girl is hiding some information.

"Ok how about this. If you let me check it to make sure it's not dangerous then I'll take you to meet up with her."

She hesitated before nervously handing it to me.

She mumbled something before clearly saying, "The lady said they'd be watching."

I nonchalantly glanced around, but with the huge crowd around it was hard to tell if someone was actually watching us.

"What did this lady look like?" I asked as I shook the envelope.

Nothing sounded like it was shifting around, but there was clearly some small block or container inside it.

"It was dark so I couldn't see her face, but I dont think she's a good guy..."

I held the envelope close to my ear and I couldn't hear anything.

If shes being watched I cant guide her to Shining's place.

"Can I have the envelope back?" She asked softly while looking behind me into the distance.

"Yes, let me call Shining and we can have her meet us somewhere ok?"

The girl nodded her head as I pulled out my phone.

"Is something wrong?" Shining immediately asked when she answered the phone.

"I dont know for sure yet, but that girl you saved the other night has something she was told to give you."

"Oh? What is it?" She sounded like she was busy doing something.

"I dont know. I didn't open it." I glanced around again. "She said she has to give it to you, so can you meet us at the cafe down the street from your place?"

"Yeah, just let me drop some stuff off at my place then I'll head there. See you soon." She said before hanging up.

"Come on, she's going to meet us."

It didn't take long for me to guide her to the cafe. Honestly it was a little awkward because of her continuously rambling about shining being her favorite hero.
