I turned by back to the colapsed entrance and began looking at the crowd. I searched the crowd to check for everyone I knew came to the scene, but I couldn't find Mood anywhere.
"Mood, where are you?" I shouted.
"What are you yelling about?" Hydron groaned.
"Have you seen Melodic Mood?" I asked while still looking around.
"The last time I saw her, she was helping evacuate people." He said, pointing at the collapsed doorway.
"She didn't come out before me?"
"No, you were the last person I saw leave."
Instantly, my heart sank as his words set in. I ran to the building and began pulling away rubble until my fingers began to bleed from the weight of the jagged stones.
Suddenly, two sets of hands were pulling me back.
"There's nothing you can do if she's in there." Miss Cupid spoke softly.
"Dont be a dumb ass." Hydron spoke from my other side.
Rage filled me, and he was definitely not in the right place to piss me off, so I just swung. I'm sure any other time, the satisfaction of my fist making contact with Hydron's jaw would calm me, but right now Mood's on the line.
"There is always something that can be done." I growled at him.
Before he could start fighting back or cussing me out, Miss Cupid sent him away.
I went back to pulling away rubble while she had her back to me.
"Shining hun we can't go back inside." She gently placed a hand on my shoulder. "We were ordered to stand back."
"Fuck the orders." I muttered as I managed to free one of the larger stones. "I'm not leaving her in there."
"Shining..." She sighed. "Can you grab..." She started talking to someone else.
"A boulder yes." I turned my head to see Steel begining to move stones with me. "Friends before orders." He spoke softly.
Before too long I had cut my hands atleast a hundred times while continuing to remove rumble. It was at the point the stones were slick with my blood. When I stepped back for a moment to see our progress I notice Steel wasn't the only person who had decided to help me.
"We arent going to be able to move all of these. The building is due to collapse any minute." A random man said.
"Does anyone else have any other ideas then?" Steel asked after moving another big piece of stone and tossing it aside.
I looked around at the crowd. Then back at my hands. My blood sizzled as it hit the dampened ground.
I decided to grab a small chunk of the rumble and tried to melt it. I managed to get turn it a bright orange, but then when I turned up the heat even instead of melting it began to crumble. If I focus the heat into an area large enough someone can get in it should work.
"I've got an idea, but I need everyone to back up."
At first everyone was hesitant to listen until I ignited my hands and placed the on some of the rubble.
At first it was working great and the rumble was crumbling away. Then my flames started to start fading away and no matter how hard I tried I didn't have the energy to keep it up.
"Well that was working..." Steel muttered from a few feet back. "But now it's too hot for any of us to touch..."
"I'm low on energy." I panted out.
