Chapter 78

*POV change to Shining dragon*

"If you ever need to find me just look up my real name,  Elizabeth Frost." I said while trying to stop my heart from pounding out of my chest.

I didn't expect her reaction after I revealed to her who I am.

She stood shocked at first then tears began to flood her eyes.

"I didn't mean to make you cry..."

My hand was slightly shaking as I reached out to wipe away a tear that began to roll down her face.

She just shook her head and I couldn't read her at all right now. She was crying but had a slight smile.

"I wanted to do that before, but I wasn't sure if it was an ok time or if you were ok with it..."

"Firefly." She said drawing me away from rambling.

She checked on her words as more tears streamed down her face.

"You're not upset are you?" I asked softly.

"No." She quickly said. "I'm happy you trust me this much, but I wasn't prepared. Can you get me a hand towel or something?"  She asked while wiping away a tear with her hand.

Right tears... she doesn't want to mess up her makeup.

"Yeah. Give me a second to grab one." I quickly turned around and opened my wardrobe.

The entire time I was trying to grab a hand towel for her Mozart kept walking in between my legs.

"Here you go." I said while holding it out to her.

I looked down at the cat and when I looked back up at her I saw her applying something onto the towel before she suddenly wiped her entire face.

I froze when I realized what she was doing.

She slowly removed the hand towel and revealed her face.

I know I had just done the same, but I hadn't expected her to do it too.

I was stuck studying her features, any attempt I made to look away didn't work.

"I... you're..." I began choking on my words. "I dont think anyone can focus after seeing your face." I mumbled out.

She almost immediately began to giggle at what I said while a soft shade of pink dusted her cheeks. While she was laughing noticed she still had a spot of make up under her left eye.

"You missed a spot." I said while looking at the small smudge of black on her cheek.

I softly laughed and placed a hand on her cheek and used my thumb to wipe it away.

When I looked away from where the smudge use to be I ended up making contact with her storm filled eyes.

It was a last second decision that my body decided on before my mind had agreed on the action.

My heart was doing flips in my chest as I softly kissed her. 

At first she tensed up, but then she kissed me back. It was only for a second, but it felt like it had lasted a life time.

We were interrupted by her phone going off.

I softly slid my hand from her cheek and she pulled away.

"Sorry I need to take this." She said while looking down at her phone.

I nodded my head and sat on me bed where I was quickly accompanied by Mozart cuddling into my lap again.

"Good afternoon sir." She sounded monotone while she spoke. "She is out of medical and in her dorm sir."

I wonder who she was talking to. I hope it's not the same guy as before...

"Yes sir." She spoke with a bit more life in her voice this time.

She turned and looked at me for a second before turning back around.

"Yes sir." She said before hanging up the phone. "So I have to go to a meeting."

"Oh..."

"Dont worry I'll be back." She smiled at me. "I need to redo my makeup."

"Yeah go right ahead." I said as she went into my bathroom and left the door open.

Before long she came back out with her identity hidden behind various music notes.

"Hopefully this wont take to long." She said while walking over to me.

"Can I ask what the meeting is about?" I asked looking up to her.

"I have no idea." She sighed. "Commissioner Fields didn't give me any information about the meeting."

"Well I hope it goes well."

She hesitated before kissing my forehead and turning towards the door.

"Hey Moody?" She turned back to face me. "I love you."

She smiled at me. "I love you too firefly."

*POV change to Melodic mood*

"Melodic Mood good you're here." Commissioner Fields smiled like was worried I wasnt going to show up.

"Yes sir."

I was ushered to sit I front of a couple of generals and a few government officials I have only seen a few times. Honestly I was thankful General Anderson wasn't present in this meeting.

"Melodic mood I'm so glad you were willing to join us tonight. My son, Hydron, has said great things about you." A man that almost looked too young to be Hydron's father said. "I'm Governor Tedesco."

'Hydron spoke about something other than himself?'

"Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen." I said while looking around at them. "May I ask what this meeting is about?"

"As you know these riots are starting to grow more frequent and those villains are using the people in thos riots as a distraction while they cause chaos elsewhere. So we had discussed you putting on a show of sorts to calm the crowds down and make the happy." Commissioner Fields quickly stated like I was supposed to remember. "It must have slipped your mind with how busy your schedule has been lately."

"I hope your schedule isn't too busy to work out a concert." Governor Tedesco said. 

Immediately I could tell he was the one conducting this meeting, so the other three government officials must have just been for show or because they requested to be here.

"I'm sure we can work something out sir." I smiled at him.

"I'm glad to hear you're still on board with the idea." Major Jones smiled nervously.

Did they think I wouldn't accept this? This is something I've always wanted to do.

"Of course ma'am." I had to force myself not to smile to brightly.

Then I remembered there was an issue with the idea. There is a high chance of me getting lost in the music myself.

"Do you think you'd have something ready by next friday?"  The governor asked.

I guess it will just have to be something I need to find a solution to before then.

"That would be no problem sir, as long as we can work together and set up an exact place and time."
