*POV change to Shining Dragon*
I woke up to find Claire was asleep on my couch and Mood was no where in sight.
"Mood?" I croaked out as I sat up.
I slowly got out of bed and I was greeted by Mozart playfully jumping at me feet.
"Hey buddy." I said as I gently pet his head.
After a few seconds he had decided he tired of me petting him he went and cuddled up against Claire.
"You traitor." I said teasingly to him earning a soft meow in response.
"You're just jealous." She mumbled without opening her eyes. "Please be quiet I was up most the night because I had to watch you."
"Why would you have to watch me?" I asked softly.
"Mood had a mission and you were messed up on something and needed someone to keep an eye on you."
I tried to remember the events of last night but they got blurry after the party began.
Claire fell back asleep on the couch while I tried to focus on figuring out last night. No matter how hard I tried to focus I couldn't remember much of last night except a couple drinks.
"Did I drink too much?" I softly questioned myself as I began to make a pot of coffee.
I was still in my kitchen watching the coffee pot slowly drip when there was a soft knock at my door.
"Claire you can go home if you would like. I'm sure your bed is more comfortable." I had barely finished my sentence before the door began to unlock. "Atleast put your mask on." I hissed at her.
She in a flash she was wearing her mask and already laying back on the couch.
I looked back towards the door and smiled as Mood opened the door. My smile quickly dropped when I saw blood on her hands and shirt. I quickly rushed over to her and began to look her over while she quietly closed the door and looked it.
"God are you hurt?" I asked while grabbing her arm.
She winced for barely a second and I'm sure if I hadn't been looking directly at her I wouldn't have noticed.
"Firefly I'm fine." She said while hiding the pain she was in.
I couldn't be sure as to what we wrong with her arm so I gently let go and grabbed her other hand.
"You don't look fine." I said as I pulled her toward the kitchen.
"It's not..."
"Sit." I softly ordered as I dug around my cabinets for one of my medical kits.
"It's not even mine."
When I turned around she was still standing so I had to make her sit down. I set the medical kit on the counter and turned around and began to fill a large bowl with warm water.
"I promise I'm fine." She said while starting to stand up.
"Atleast let me help you clean up." I insisted as I gently made her sit back down.
She pouted and looked over to the side in the direction of Claire who was 'sleeping' on the couch. I know she was just being stubborn with being given help, but Claire being here wasn't helping with her agreeing.
"Hey do you mind heading home?" I asked.
"No prob." She quickly hopped up and mischievously smiled because she realized we knew she was eavesdropping.
She zoomed out of the apartment but apparently not before dropping a washcloth on the counter near us.
"Now that she is gone, will you let me help clean this up?"
"You can help." She said begrudgingly while she was still pouting.
I started with her face and whiped away the splatters of blood while her music notes stayed as if nothing had happened in the first place.
"What were you doing that covered you so much?" I asked while cleaning her left arm.
"I had to take care of a little problem." She said with a smile of satisfaction.
I dipped the washcloth into the water again and moved on her right arm. She tried to hide the pain again, but softly hissed at the pain. Once I started to clear the blood from her arm I noticed a dark bruise spreading from the center of her forearm towards her hand.
"I'm making you a splint" I said softly while placing the bloodied cloth into the bowl. "Just until you can get to be healed." I quickly stated so she wouldn't protest.
I grabbed a bag of frozen vegetables and a dish towel and handed them to Mood.
"I don't think it's broken." Mood said before she applied the bag to her arm.
"But it could be fractured and I don't want to risk you getting hurt worse." I left the kitchen and scurried around my apartment for anything I could use to make the splint.
The first thing I saw was a newspaper so that is what I used. She remained silent while I secured her arm.
"I know we had plans to go search more information about those heroes, but you need to get your arm taken care of." I said softly when I finished taking are of her.
After speaking a remembered she had promised against my wishes to not get healed unless I was able to as well. I can't believe I had forgotten.
"I'll be fine. I can..."
I raised my hand to try and stop her protest.
"I'll meet you there after you take care of your arm." I gently placed my hand against her jaw. "I dont have the things needed to take care of your arm."
I know she was stubborn and dedicated enough that she wouldn't go back on her word or follow my plead for her to go back on her word, so I didn't try to persuade her to. Although I did make note to try methods to persuade her if her arm gets worse or she gets hurt too badly.
"My arm is fine, I would know." She took the opportunity to give me a soft kiss to reassure me. "Let's just head over and search the records before it gets too late or we get called in for duty."
