I couldn't tell you much about before I was adopted. I was five when my real parents died in an car accident while I was the sole survivor. I dont even remember the sound of their voice.

As for the parents that adopted me; they weren't bad people infact they were the best parents ever in my eyes.

"Elizabeth Frost you have to get to school!" My dad yelled from his home office.

"I'm almost ready!" I shouted as I put on a hoodie and grabbed my backpack.

I ran down the stairs and my mom stopped me before I got to the door.

"Elizabeth its 80 degrees out. Do you really need the hoodie?" She stated out of disbelief.

"But I'm cold." I sighed.

"That's what you always say. Take the hoodie off before you over heat." She ordered me.

I reluctantly took it off and handed it to her before turning round and heading out to meet my friend.

"El!" He waved enthusiastically at me until I was walking beside him. "No jacket today?"

"Mom took it cause its 80 degrees out." I mocked her words as I repeated them.

"They still dont believe how cold you get?" He asked sounding concerned.

"I dont think they ever will." I sighed while crossing my arms. "I cant give them a reason why I get so cold, so they don't believe it."

"I'll give you the hoodie in my locker when we get to school." I said as he wrapped an arm around my shoulders.

"Thanks."

We ended up walking into a crowd of more students that chose to walk to school on this bright sunny day.

"Hey love birds!" Our friend Claire jumped onto Owen's back.

"You know it's not like that." Owen shouted back as he tried to get her off of him.

"Come one Claire your gonna make him pull a muscle." I laughed.

"Muscle, are we talking about the same boy?" She questioned as she let go of the poor blonde boy.

"Are you guys excited about summer coming up?" Ethan asked as he wrapped his arm around me like Owen was before.

"Not really. You and Claire will be wherever you go on vacation this year and Owen will be going to nerd camp."

"Its not nerd camp!" Owen shouted and multiple people stopped and stared at us. "It robotics camp..." He muttered quietly.

"Come on you're our nerd. It's not a bad thing." Claire smiled as she punched his shoulder.

We heard the first set of bells chime from the school.

"Last one there has to clean the hang out!" Claire yelled as she began to sprint towards the school.

For a split second we look at eachother before sprinting after her. We had to dodge in between people walking infront of us.

I felt bad for Ethan while he was more muscular than Owen and myself his stamina while running wasn't the best. He ended up making it to the gates last.

We were all panting while Claire was standing there like she didn't just run two blocks to the school.

"Congrats Ethan you get to clean up the hangout before we leave in," she looked at her wrist, "8 days, 6 hours and 34 minutes."

"Now you're just bragging." He gasped out.

"Yeah, you also need to work on your breathing control." She smirked at us. "Honestly all three of you do."

"Yeah, yeah." I straightened myself up and looked ahead. "Come on we have finals to do so we can hang out for this first week of summer."

"I'll go get my hoodie and meet you guys in calc." Owen said before him and Claire split off from our small group.

"You know Claire likes Owen right?" Ethan asked me after he was sure they were gone.

"Yeah its obvious." I laughed.

"But Owen is clueless." I laughed.

"Yeah..." He shook his head as he spoke. "As much as we want it to calculus isnt going to do itself, so we best get going."

Just as we were about to enter calculus Owen ran up to me and handed me a hoodie that resembled cotton candy with its soft pink sleeves and pocket while the rest of it was a baby blue.

"You're a life saver Owen thank you." I quickly threw the hoodie on.

"Miss Frost if you insist on standing in the doorway atleast the other students through." Mr Harris shouted from across the room.

"Sorry sir." I mumbled before heading to my seat.
