When I made it to the catwalk again, Claire was tangled up in a cable, while the two men seemed to be discussing what to do.

"Dont count me out so soon." I glared at these guys and glanced down at the crowd below that was slowly evacuating.

"Can you see they are using her to control people?" Molecule asked before getting punched in the shoulder by Golem.

"Do you really think they care?"

Is that true? I mean, I know singing activates her powers, but she's making people happy.

"Are you guys really trying to pull the 'I'm a good guy' shit too?" I questioned before Golem charged at me again.

This time, I was smarter and grabbed a cable before dodging him. I managed to trip him with cable, which ended up sending in tumbling into a man I hadn't realized joined us.

"Why dont you leave the fighting to a real hero?"

As soon as I heard his voice, my brain was trying to decide if it was excited to hear my father's voice or nervous because I knew he was mad at me.

"They need to stop letting you, hero wanna bes, run free."

"I have dealt with more villains this year than you have in the past ten." I couldn't stand being insulted right now.

"Excuse me, do you know who you're talking to?" He growled at me.

"Yeah, but I dont think you care who you're talking to." I responded.

*POV change to melodic mood*

"You need to work on controlling that fire girl a bit more." Commissioner Fields warned after I answered my phone.

"What did she do, sir?" I asked with a sigh.

"She was working with another hero, and she mouthed off to him and insulted him. He is extremely pissed off." He was clearly irritated about this. "If she can't watch her mouth, she will end up in bigger trouble than she is. They already came up with a solution for this time, but she made a few people angry."

I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose.

"Sir, I'll work with her on it." After I spoke, the line went dead.

I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose.

"What am I going to do with you?" I muttered to myself like she was here with me.

I was already outside of Shining's apartment to celebrate tonight. So I put my phone away and made my way to her apartment. I knocked on her door, and it took a minute before I heard her talking through the door.

"Hello?"

"Hey, sorry I'm late. They had me do and after show interview and a meet and greet."

Slowly, she opened the door, and I was slightly surprised she was wearing her mask even though it was just me.

I looked at her lips and saw her bottom lip was busted open and recently scabbed over.

"Come on in." She mumbled and walked away, leaving the door wide open.

I quickly moved into the apartment and closed the door before Mozart could run out the door.

I immediately noted that her apartment was colder than she would keep it, and she was wearing a pair of baggy pajama pants and a black hoodie.

Just a few hours ago, she seemed so happy. What is going on right now?

"Do you want anything to eat or drink?" She asked softly from her kitchen.

"I'm fine for now." I smiled at her. "Thank you."

"I need to take a shower, so umm... if you want something help yourself."

She mumbled before quickly disappearing into her bathroom.

I wanted to check on her, but I could tell right now she'd just push against the offer to talk with her problems.

I was stuck worrying about what was wrong that I almost missed that HRN was on. The only thing that brought my attention to it was seeing Shining on the screen.

After about a minute, the footage they had showed Shining and her father arguing. Then it shifted to footage of a fight between the two of them, except Shining wasn't fighting back.

Shining looked so scared and unsure the entire time.

He would use his to make her forget what she was about to do to dodge his attacks, and multiple times, he ended up landing hits, but she never even swung at him. A few of the hits would cause her to fall over, or she'd lean against the wall while gasping for breath.

The fight didn't stop until she grabbed his wrist to stop him from hitting her again, and she immediately let go when he screamed in pain.

I could still hear the shower running, so I decided to make a call.

"Hello sister, what's up?" Logos sounded tired, but not like she had just been waking up.

"Hey, can you look something up for me?" I asked while turning the tv off.

"Sure. What do you want to know?"

"What exactly did they decide on Shining disrespecting a hero? I was told it had already come to a solution. What was it?" I asked while glancing over towards the shower door.

"You're not going to like it." She warned. "They decided it was crossing the line to be disrespecting Mr Forget Me Not since he is an older generation hero. He challenged her, and she refused to fight, so they told her that as a punishment, she isn't allowed to get medical treatment on base."

I began to see red the more she explained what had been decided.

"Also, Starlight was warned if he treated her wounds during that time frame, he would be put on lockdown while she'd be locked off base."

"They can't do that..." I muttered softly. "That's inhumane."

"Well, that's what they..."

"Mood," Shining was standing in the doorway looking defeated. "It was either I accept the punishment or move back on base and be placed under another probationary period. They were going to put him in charge of what I could and couldn't do."

She silently walked over and sat down on her couch with a small, painfilled groan escaping her lips.

"I'll let you go, so you can talk." Logos said before hanging up.
