Chapter 70

Surprisingly no one questioned questioned me about what happened Friday night, in fact they actually let me sleep all day Saturday. Minus a call from the veterinary clinic about Mozart doing well so far.

I could hear a people talking loudly outside my door today but after a while they just left.

I pulled out my phone and texted Claire.

'Hey I need your help.'

'With what?'

'I need to sneak somethings on base.'

'What is it this time?'

I sent her this list of things I needed for Mozart.

'Wait...' A few second later she sent another message. 'Do you have a cat?!'

'Maybe...'

"Ok now I need to get to Mozart..." I thought about it and my only option was Mood.

I was hoping she wouldn't say no.

As soon as I left to head to her room I noticed the door to her dorm was empty so I approached with caution.

Immediately I found Mood talking to a girl with pink hair who back was facing me.

"Why exactly are you here?" Mood intensely whispered.

"Well I decided to stop by and check in on my eldest sister." I could just hear the smirk this girl had to be wearing while she spoke. "Besides I have an investigation on this base."

I could tell this was a private conversation and I was about to leave when I accidentally made eye contact with Mood.

"Is there something wrong?" Mood asked immediately dropping any irritation in her voice.

"No... I just needed your help with something." I muttered softly. "It can wait until..."

"So you must be the famous Shining dragon." The girl turned around and studied me.

She almost looked identical to Mood with the only real difference was her hair color being pink and curlier than Mood's. Also the fact this girl looked like she was dressed for a meeting with the persident.

"You must be Mood's sister."

I held my hand out to her to shake her hand, but she just lowered her sunglasses and stared at me.

"So she's told you about us?"

"Well not really. I just more so knew about her having siblings." I quickly found myself rambling for no reason at all. "I mean there was no way with how caring and patient that she could be an only child."

Mood face palmed as if she knew exactly how this was gonna turn into trouble, but also like she had no control over the situation.

"But she is also so kind and fun to be around, and she has her moments when she's all serious and acts stone cold during missions and training." My heart rate began to pick up as I tried to stop talking. "She doesn't think anyone notices when she laughs at how stupid we act when we are bored, but honestly it just makes me want to make her laugh more."

I looked over at more trying to piece together what was forcing me to say all of this stuff. Then it clicked this had to be her sisters power or something to do with them.

"Because her laugh and smile make the dark times better and makes the hard fights worth it. Yet so often she fakes it for everyone else." I was honestly panicking but I couldn't stop the words from passing my lips no matter how hard I tried. "I am already talking too much and I cant stop, so I'm going to go before I hurt any pride I have left."
