Chapter 94

*POV is still Melodic mood*

"We aren't using her as bait." I immediately said as soon as she had stated her plan.

"She'd be perfectly fine." She quickly explained while holding on Shining's hood again.

"You're not using her as bait." I repeated firmly.

There wasn't anyway anyone would convince me otherwise.

"What are you worried she'll go back in there and start kissing someone that's not you?" She said with a huff.

My heart instantly sank to my stomach. Does she really know or is she just saying that? I dont want Shining getting hit on by some random person because of this let alone if she gets hurt.

"She needs to get some rest not be used as bait." I reached over and I grabbed Shining's hand. "There are other ways to find this person. If you cant find them I will."

As if she hadn't heard a word we said Shining was smiling wide as she looked down at our hands. I am assuming the K15 was starting to wear off because she had cooled down a lot and she wasn't glowing as bright anymore, but she definitely wasn't fully in the clear yet.

"I wanna have some fun." Shining mumbled while attempting to pursued me with her puppy dog eyes. "I want to go back to the party."

"You've got plans tomorrow remember? So you need some sleep."

Miss Cupid looked a bit upset that I wasn't going with her plan, but she seemed to understand and didn't try to press the idea any further.

I grabbed Shining's hand and began to guide her towards my car. Somehow I managed to get her to the car without any new issues. That was until I was trying to make her buckle up and she decided once again she had to stay.

"Shining please just cooperate with me. There will be more parties in the future."

She pouted once again before finally buckling herself in.

I closed the door as I pulled out my phone. Of course logos already knew what I was doing and called before I had the chance.

"Sis, can you do something for me?"

"What do you need?"

"Have you heard of K15?"

"Yeah, it's a nasty experimental drug. Definitely dont recommend messing with it." She explained before humming softly to herself. "It seems that was one of the few drugs that weren't accounted for the night of the fire."

"Yeah, someone stole the serum and it was used on Shining. Can you figure out who gave it to her?"

I looked over at Shining and she seemed to be passed out in her seat. That definitely will make getting her back to her apartment easier.

"Oh can I?" She laughed. "If you give me a few minutes I'll give you their location."

"Thank you."

Without further response she hung up and I started to drive towards Shining's apartment.

Occasionally she'd mumble something, but I could never fully make out her words. That was until I was pulling her out if the car to take her upstairs.

"That's enough pretty boy..."

Where is this going?

"You wont fit into my leotard."

I couldn't help but chuckle at her ramblings. Right now it was the only thing keeping my anger from boiling over. I continued to silently listen to her occasional rambles while I drove to her apartment.
